The fact that it was initiated (and largely completed) under the Bush administration was completely ignored in their rush to accuse the Obama administration of ‘targeting conservatives’. Conservatives always play the victim - they assumed it was less reliable because it was ‘from Obama’ (which it was not).

Honestly, I can’t say if it was ‘inflated’ or not. It was not widely disseminated before being withdrawn by DHS. I certainly never had a chance to read the ‘official’ report before it was tossed down the memory hole; that was like the next day IIRC.
And, of course, it was floated (can’t really say ‘released’) so early in Obama’s first term that there was not much of an opportunity to ‘inflate’ it. Given the history we have all lived through 10 years down the road it’s obvious to me that it was the opposite of “inflated”.
And in other non-news stories, Trump incites racism, FOX is not a news station and half of the country, by definition, has an IQ south of 100.
That’s just their way of trying to get you to strike first.

According to a recent study, half of the American public endorses at least one conspiracy theory.
While I have no doubt that the article’s thesis is valid, “anti-semite”, by itself, does not limit the person to the right wing.
Wow! Not surprising but then again, it is.
This is the exact type of issue that a presidential candidate can use a megaphone to put into the national discussion. One thing that I think could be a very good development is if the country (and particularly the media) acknowledges that it has a domestic terrorism problem stemming from white nationalists and that guns feature prominently.
