Discussion: Acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker Releases Financial Disclosures

“Yeah! That’s the ticket!”

The killer is that McGhan’s lawyer commented that “McGhan did not know of Trump Ordering an investigation”, the problem for this bozos is that if one makes a partial statement, one waives the attorney client privilege. I would hope that Neil would subpoena McGhan’s ass, cite the partial waiver, and make him answer the question. If not, have the Sargent at arms arrest him for contempt. Up until 1935 they just arrested people, but since DOJ will not do its job, they could go back to the old procedure.

Mueller has his special rubber stamp all ready to go. Its letters spell “YOU LIE!”

Seems appropriate.

Maybe we could throw Ivanka, Uday and Qusay, plus Roger Stone and Rudy Ghouliani, into a pit and let them all have at it. Last one standing gets handed as subpoena…

And seems to dodge accountability.

That’s close to brilliant.

One of the many subtle punchlines in the Post article:

FACT paid another half-million dollars to CRC Public Relations in Alexandria, Va. The FACT representative who declined to be named in this report is a CRC executive.

Whitaker paying himself half the non-profit’s money as salary further confirms the structural flaw in the GOP grift empire: it requires giving lots of money to people who celebrate greed and don’t believe in accountability. What could go wrong?

So, without the wingnut welfare from FACT, our boy world have earned a shade over $100K, practically poverty level in DC. I can see why he took the wingnut route.

No way, he would have just remained a low level grifter sucking off the tax payers dime while helping out the good folks who paid him $900,000 for basically nothing.

But the Post has gone and spent some real $$$s investigating him, done three hard hitting stories on what a crook he is, and either (a) a state AG, or (b) the DOJ Inspector General, or (c) DOJ post 2020, will get to the bottom of his crimes.

Had he been in another department, perhaps he could skate by, but DOJ’s line attornies re seriously freaked out by how much damage he has already done to the administration of Justice, and will want a scalp to help try to restore some dignity post Trump.

And The Guardian has this in its news blog:

Trump defends Cindy Hyde-Smith and goes further in apologizing on her behalf for her public hanging gaffe that she has.

“She made a statement that I know she feels very bad about it,” says Trump.

A shady grifter jumps on the wingnut welfare train, accepting a million dollars to attack Secretary of State Clinton and Special Counsel Mueller in the most unconscionable and shameless ways, and for doing that gets elevated to the job of Attorney General of the United States.

And giving him control of the Department of Justice is all fine with the GOP, which seems intent on turning the country into the most bananalicious of all republics.

Perhaps for services as yet to be rendered.

He’ll have to take quite a pay cut in this job, but I expect the Mercers have made some arrangement to ensure he does not descend into penury…
