What a sad testimony to our way of life, putting children in jail and leaving them there. They are a product of the culture in which they live and are raised, children base decisions on past experience, how much experience can a child of 17 have on which to base life changing decisions.
That said we need to be looking into our culture harder, deeper, working harder to understand where we have gone wrong. Building more prisons that schools, making profit the incentive for everything and every experience is just pure evil especially when it comes to prisons and religion. Our current political mess is a clear example of money and power gone wrong. How many children would be allowed to behave as our politicians in Congress are in regards to their jobs. Sabotage, diversion, subversion and out and out lying, disregard for the laws of the country and the people.
There is just so much wrong with this that I am sputtering. Is this what the Pro-life people are striving for, bringing infants into the world then supporting laws that put those same children at risk, cut off their food, punish their mothers, and then the ultimate wrong supporting lawmakers that see war as the only answer. Do they save the products of conception so that they will have more young people off to war?
I am for sentencing that fits the crime — But people MUST be allowed to show they can become more than what they were when they committed it —
There is always room for a justified forgiveness —
