And there we have it–global oligarchs throwing money to their own–or their owned. THIS is what we are dealing with in its full glory. The only counter is to VOTE against these oligarchs.

Yesterday was Pearl Harbor day, and I saw footage of some pre-war American Nazi rallies; they were very similar in tone to “making America great again.”
Trump has a real (low, but real) chance of securing the nomination – there was also a time when the German leadership thought Hitler’s chance for attaining any real power was nil. And right now, he has become a crystallized representation of what the modern Republican Party will bring to America. I think it is extremely important for the political health in America that this be everyone’s focus until someone gets his supporters and enablers to walk back from the brink and realize what they’re fostering.

Well yes there are. There is a conference in Paris on the future viability of Homo Sapiens. Something about ending the use of fossil fuel by 2050 and a carbon tax.
There are some political discussions going on about the workers of American taking another 20 percent cut in wages to keep down with the other 3rd world workers.
There are some other political discussions on making education affordable; people healthy; and taxes more fair. And lots more.
But corporate media would rather you hear about one raving maniac, and not think about important stuff.

You say that as if Trump’s supporters don’t know exactly what they’re fostering. We’ve got to stop pretending these people are just confused, and come to terms with the idea that maybe they know exactly what they’re doing. To me, it’s a much likelier scenario that they’re getting exactly what they want.

Believe it or not, I actually knew someone who was a Trump supporter until yesterday. But the overwhelming majority of his supporters, yeah, they know exactly what they’re looking for. It’s his enablers – the “I’ll support him if he gets the nomination” or the “we need to focus on the Democrats” – that need to wake the fuck up, by and large.

The only principal that Republicans adhere to is looking out for their own narrow interests.
The hair on the back of my neck bristled when I saw what this guy did and said.
The Jews who were tortured and killed in the Holocaust may not have been all billionaires, like this guy, but a large percentage of them were well-to-do and comfortable, to the point where–before Hitler–they could entertain the idea that their money bought them a certain sense of security. A security that this particular Arab is familiar with.
What he is apparently ignorant of was that in scenarios like the Holocaust, VICTIMIZATION AND PERSECUTION BY SOCIAL CATEGORY allowed people of quite humble origins (like milkmen and clerks) to have absolute control over people who (prior to the persecution) would, by virtue of wealth and socioeconomic status, be their social superiors.
What Trump’s line of thinking logically leads to is an autocracy in which, by social category, acceptance and even existence depends on being in the right social category.
Because this particular Arab did not do any critical thinking, he assumed that Trump’s persecution radius would stop at Latin American Immigrants and African Americans. He was fine with that.
Let me also do a shout-out to all Americans falling short of the Nordic European phenotype:
You think all Muslims are the types of brown and dark olive-complected people Hollywood shows and what is on the tube… Balkan countries have people with French and Italian Mediterranean and Alpine white phenotypes. There are Slavic phenotypes represented in Islam. There are the Chechens. Just about every actor and actress in Prime Time that is thought of as “white” is represented in the cavalcade of colours of Islam. There are also people in Indonesia whom the FOX generation doesn’t even associate with Islam.
Finally, even Nordics can be Jihadists. Or haven’t people been paying attention to the news of ISIS recruitment?
