As much as I admire President Obama, I have to confess that I rather miss the old days. From an old CBS News article:

When his eight years as President of the United States ended on January 20, 1953, private citizen Harry Truman took the train home to Independence, Missouri, mingling with other passengers along the way. He had no secret service protection. His only income was an Army pension.

Yeah, but where was his birth certificate!

Have a long and successful retirement, Mr. President. You deserve it.

He’d only be, like, 59 in 2020. Just sayin’…

Oh goody …

And I’m sure 67 Senators, 290 Representatives, and 38 States will be happy to repeal that pesky 22nd Amendment.

This, of course, illustrates what’s wrong with term limits. Sometimes, there’s someone you really do want to have around for another few years.

Maybe a seat on the Supreme Court can be in his future.
