I am hopeful that this will come to pass… then again I was almost certain Hillary would win in 2016.

I’m not hopeful that the Democrats are ruthless enough to conduct the investigations in a way that leads to impeachment or, more importantly, convinces at least 70% of voters that Republicans are allied with multiple foreign governments to subvert US democracy.
Finding out the full truth about Russia’s interference in our election and Tiny’s cooperation and complicity is not, in any way, “overreaching.”
Scratching the surface, but I’ll take it.
I’d much rather see a rundown of likely bills Democrats will pass. Let the Senate compromise and make the Rump sign or veto. Everywhere they fall short is the next reason to throw out more bums.
In the current political environment I am not all that sure that the Democrats will get anything done that has a major impact. The White House and the GOP are going to stall and refuse to cooperate basically throwing the constitution under the bus. They will do all of this while accusing the other side of using immigrants and dead voters to steal the elections.
TMP is a good outlet for the truth but the rest of the basically greed driven main stream news operations do not care because of the need to the feed investors who think they can control tRump, the industrialists and moderates in Germany thought the same about Hitler.
The second part is orders of magnitude more important than the first. I think enough people remember the Clinton impeachment to not want to go through that again. An impeachment fight will hurt the Democrats just enough (it won’t take much) to make Trump’s re-election possible. However, spending two years tying the Republicans to foreign powers should be enough to sink the current GOP to the bottom of a political abyss in 2020.

i may be in the minority here, but I really think this is fodder for the conservatives. Pre-election I think the best strategy is to vocalize how democratic/progressive control can help USA–health care, sure but what about a major talking point from 2016–Student Loan Debt/Interest debacle; progressives should take hold of the debt discussion. Clinton/Gore paied down the debt and George Bush, Jr wasted the savings on starting a war with Iraq when the only mid-east country with any ties to the WTC horror was Saudi Arabia. The on-going war(s) in the middle east is going to bankrupt USA way faster than any domestic concern.
Whether we can punish the Trumpsters in congress or whereever should only be a concern once the dust from the 2018 election settles.
