No, actually, that explanation makes sense to me. I work in IT, and I see people misinterpret reports, or set up queries that give them bogus data, all the time.
If Ferguson is a place with a high percentage of renters, yeah, possibly so. Especially since that number reflects not just address changes, but includes changes in marital status as well.
Oh, wow â in Virginia. And thatâs my district, even. And yes, it is a very weird shape â some of it is not even contiguous. See a map here.
The registrations were destroyed by those Cardinals fans, Iâll bet.
St. Louis County director of elections Rita Heard Days âwas âapologeticâ about any inconvenience that the mistake might have caused.
And the final day of Missouri Voter registration is tomorrow.
Did someone at the BOE provide incorrect forms for the voter registration volunteer program? Have there been conference calls with Kathy Nickolaus in Waukesha Wisconsin and Kenneth Blackwell at the Family Research Council?
There is something afoot. Suppression/caging/?/

Me too. Unfortunately, Iâve also seen bogus âOops, that first report was a slip-up, nothing to see here, really, this new report has the correct numbers, honest!â
An outside party needs to take a hard look at the data.
Yep, same here. But whenever I get numbers that look extraordinarily good or extraordinarily bad, I take a look at the data that produced the numbers before publishing them.
True. But heâs agreed to stay on only until his replacement is appointed. That could take a while of course, but . . .
Good lord! How did that pass muster at the federal level? Thatâs worse than those Iâve seen in Texas shaped like boomerangs.
Register as a Republican. You donât have to vote for them, but are they going to turn away âtheirâ voters ??
Register as a republican in Ferguson with specific addresses?
What we have in Ferguson is a bunch of folks who want to riot and steal stuff, but not vote. Well, Iâm done with Ferguson. What they get is what they deserve. You have a majority black town where they donât vote, and just talk a lot of racism trash. Itâs not racism if you oppress yourself, babeee.
No it doesnât seem reasonable. It is more of a stench than a bad smell.
No, not that they changed addresses since Aug. 9. That is a little misleading. It means that 3,287 bothered to update their voting registration which includes, change of address, and change of name if recently married. That is actually very encouraging because it means all those residents do want to vote, and donât want to be challenged at their precinct. If not for the Michael Brown incident most of these voters probably would not have bothered to update their information.
Police department doesnât know the law and election officials cannot do math.
Considering tomorrow is the last day to register to vote in a general election in Missouri, yeah, this smells like shit. What perfect timing to tell people âOOoops, we goofed, but oh well, its too late now folksâ.
Only the GOP would think registering voters is disgusting.
How is this counted exactly? If a Missouri voter changes his/her address to one in Ferguson, he/she wouldnât be a ânew voterâ but would perhaps be new to Fergusonâand that would impact voting in Ferguson. With all of the ID requirements noise, I think it is reasonable that poor folks who move a lot donât stay up on changing their registration address.
Perhaps Dylan, you can verify the over 3000 number as applying only to Ferguson? If thatâs true, what it says to me is that the City Council/Mayor will be looking at over 3000 voters who are certainly energized.
Let us know. The answer is in the details.
Ignoring you
This is really mysterious and may be troubling too. There is every doubt that the Republican officials there might have played some game. So far we have seen that Republicans are connected with all the incident of voter suppression, although they scream very loudly against voter fraud. They case should be investigated by non-partisan group.
