Discussion: 8th Person At Don Jr. Meeting Appears Accused In Money Laundering Scheme

Once again, with every bit of new info, it becomes increasingly obvious that there is no complicated scheme to unravel. This was a very simple plot: in exchange for assistance with money laundering (including spiking the pending case) and undermining sanctions, the Russians would help Trump win (including hacking, spreading false stories, etc.).

It really is that simple.

It’s really touching how many well connected Russian nationals were committed to helping Americans adopt sweet, wide-eyed Russian orphans. My faith in humanity is restored!

And with each orphan comes a unit in Trump Tower paid in cash at 10X market value! Family values! You know – family values.

A money launderer. Well, of course! What Trump transaction would be complete without one?

So we have a Russian lawyer tied to Putin, a Russian counterintelligence guy who is now an American lobbyist working for Russian clients, and a Russian money laundering scheme expert. If it was held in my office somebody would have had to bring in extra chairs.

Yeah, when my wife and I looked into adoption, the first thing everyone told us is, “make sure you’ve got a guy who specializes in Russian real estate deals.” Otherwise the adoption agencies figure you’re not really serious.

The money laundering appears to have been ongoing for well over a decade, so that would not be anything new.

While weakening or removing sanctions is clearly(based on emails and things we’ve already seen) an objective, I suspect that weakening US institutions and peoples’ trust in them was another.
Not too terribly complex, given that last could have a pretty broad range of outcomes that could be considered successful. But not quite as simple as money laundering and sanctions.

The obvious question on the table is how much of the money laundered by various Russians has found it’s way into Trump condo and property transactions? Mueller is looking very thoroughly into that angle.

I think it’s more that he and his team are reviewing the mountains of data given them by Treasury Dept’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network(FinCEN). Senate Intelligence Committee has been reported as having received more than 2000 documents from FinCEN that are considered pertinent to their investigation.

Pricey Condos in New York and other U.S. cities have proved an open gateway into America’s economy and apparently into U.S. politics as well. Sad to say, sharpie lawyers enabled the flow of criminal and oligarchs’ cash into real estate investments by setting up dummy corporations and limited liability corporations as real estate ownership entities, shielding Russian money, drug cartel money, and a host of other undesirables from pursuit as criminals in violation of U.S. laws. Apparently, all a Russian or any other alien nation Richie-Rich needs to do is hire the lawyer the U.S. seller of pricey real estate recommends. Footnote from Captain Obvious – Trump is a real estate tycoon. Connect the dots.
