force President Donald Trump’s administration to take action to ensure upwind states control pollution.
Uh, The EPA is being led by a trump cronie. One who thinks there is no such thing as Air Pollution along with a 1000 other items destroying the planet.
Lots of luck with this one.
This is the way to do it: sue them and keep them defending themselves.
An EPA spokeswoman says the agency doesn’t comment on pending litigation until industry lobbyists tell the EPA what to say.
This is all good. Fight. Force that freaking ahole to defend the indefensible.
Republicans don’t believe in state’s right.
__ ALL __ EXECUTIVE agencies (federal, state, county, local) should be forced to have EACH person signoff on rule changes (pro and con) so that __ FUTURE __ possible employer’s is LIKELY to not tell the truth.
Is that lawsuit going through FEDERAL courts? Good luck with the newly established Federal judiciary al la McConnell, Trump and Cronies. What do the originalists of the Federalist Society think about pollution laws and enforcement of said laws by agencies not in existence when the constitution was written? And if it goes all the way to SCOTUS, what does Gorsuch think? Gorsuch, whose mother was forced to resign after trying to completely dismantle the EPA under Reagan?
I believe that our esteemed EPA director, who personally filed dozens of lawsuits against the EPA when he was AG for Oklahoma, thinks those Eastern seaboard states are a bunch of crybabies and that a little pollution builds character.
PA has worked very hard to clean up the air quality given the diversity of industry in this state. There are still areas that can be improved, but there is no INTELLIGENT reason to backtrack on the progress made. I’m not a tree hugger, but I do like to see common sense prevail from time to time. Riding across the state from one end to the other by train and seeing how clean the air is, especially in the fall when the leaves start turning is a sight to behold.
They don’t want you to have clean air, if you live in a blue state.
They may not want to, but in PA, most of the legislature lives in between Philly and Pittsburgh. Why would you want a messed up environment to live in? Granted, stupid is not a welcoming commodity, but at some point they would be able to see the difference.
Reminder: Rick Perry and his replacement have built their careers on suing the EPA. This suit may now require the EPA and their deniers of global warming to go on the record against lawyers who know how to shut down nonsense. The States now can play offense. Current admins worst nightmare.
