Discussion: 65 Women From Kavanaugh's High School Days Signed Letter Attesting To His 'Integrity'

Through the more than 35 years we have known him, Brett has stood out for his friendship, character, and integrity. In particular, he has always treated women with decency and respect. That was true when he was in high school, and it has remained true to this day.

No, no. Percentages are everything, and he is well under the ā€œI raped less than 2% of the girls I knew in high school.ā€ Good enough for me.

He shouldn’t have posted it.

This letter’s worth is that its entered into a template with all of the other ā€˜character’ ones and it’ll be remembered when the next turkey faces a sim. charge.

Just waiting on a letter from Equifax saying that Kavanaugh is a ā€˜A-ok’.

He never once farted during the entire period of 9th grade until his High School graduation. Never simulated farting sounds, either. Never used CliffNotes to avoid reading a long book. Not even Atlas Shrugged, or The Fountainhead. Never heard him to take the Lord’s Name in Vain. Would always say ā€œGosh Darn,ā€ and ā€œAw, Shucks.ā€ Never picked his nose. Not even once. Would always say ā€œposterior,ā€ instead of ā€œass.ā€

Last generation’s republican scandal is today’s republican standard.

Yep.

I’m sure the Senate Ethics Committee will get right on that.

Heh. I imagine some republicans are now looking over their shoulders today. I don’t know, however, if the accusation or today’s Manafort news can derail the nomination.

I’m impressed! He dated 65 hit on or dated 65 girls in high school who would know about his behavior up close. Wow! I’m not sure this helps his cause. Nor do I think his behavior toward a girl, unless outright forceful assault or rape, should have any bearing on his approval vote. I imagine that there’s hardly a male around who had a social life that didn’t do something untoward, or something that could be called untoward, during their younger life. I’d more concerned with his ideological approach and more recent behavior as an adult.

I think that every question for Collins, Murkowski, et al should be whether they support Grassley’s coverup rather than about whether they plan to vote for the nominee.

It wouldn’t hurt to hear from all the three major credit bureaus… let’s see his reports, plus his FICO :expressionless:

Can any of these 65 women confirm or deny his sports betting addiction?

One of the tweet responses:

There have to be more. Enterprising journalists must be looking up women he knew in college & women he worked with now.

I’d think they’d be following up with the 65 signers to ask them how they came to sign this letter, how they knew him since he went to an all male school, etc.

Though Franken’s name might come up, Collins will likely dismiss the one allegation on the grounds that the rape allegation is hearsay, because the victim refuses to step forward.

Murkowski’s thoughts need to be on record, because unless more info comes up, Kavanaugh will be confirmed.

I’m not going to bother with ā€˜slapnuts’ like Graham, Cruz and Kennedy, because ait nobody got time for that.

So, you also must remember Orrin Hatch’s face and neck turning purple and his apoplectic rage when the local newspaper for where Clarence and Ginnie lived published the list of his Video Rentals from their neighborhood store. I thought I was the only one who remembered this episode. I also remember that by the following Monday, Congress, both houses, had passed a law forbidding disclosure of someone’s video rentals…especially if they were Republican.

Talk about Deep State. Think about the kind of people who would have sent their daughters to all-girl high schools in the DC suburbs in the late 70s and early 80s. And the ones of whose who would have kept in touch all these years. These were young women who ā€œcame outā€ and went to cotillions. So yeah, odds that young Brett would have done something to one of them (that would be remembered and admitted): not so high.

(I’m also trying to think if I could even find 65 people from my old high school or college class without putting professional resources on it.)
