Good news about Ebola, but something is ailing this child. I hope they find out what and treat it stat.
You must not have kids. They get sick quickly and run a fever – and just as quick get well. Watch him, but probably need not worry.

Oh, for fuck’s sake. This poor woman who had had the bravery to volunteer to care for people who were forgotten by the world was treated like this as a function of a couple of pricks’ political ambition. Next time Christie wants to run for, say, Dogcatcher, I hope this image is used appropriately.

Most likely malaria. Endemic in Guinea, produces high fevers, lots of kids get it.
It is miserable - you want to die. (I got it twice when I was living in west Africa, and once more when traveling in India.) I can’t imagine how kids deal with it. (And many African kids do get it multiple times.)

Look at this way. She endured this but she probably put an end to the grandstanding, and maybe even political futures, by two over-the-top politicians by confronting Christie directly and Cuomo indirectly. As one headline read “Kaci Hickox 1, Chris Christie 0”
