what is that we can see in the distance?
single-payor … single-payor …single-payor … single-payor …single-payor … single-payor …
“Congress made the individual mandate, and they can unmake it,” Bagley said.
Not so far, they can’t. And not for lack of trying.
“or Trump could simply order the IRS not to enforce the mandate.”
Yes, there would be immediate lawsuits, but one would hope there are still some decent IRS directors who would refuse an illegal order from the orange shitgibbon. I would think the IRS officers would be complicit in an illegal act if they went along with this.
I would say that they are beneath contempt, but I find that I still find them eminently contemptible.
Five Points on Bomb Trump may Throw into Obama Marketplace:
- It is full of sh1t.
- It will silently kill more people than a real bomb.
- The only beneficiaries of this mandate are the lawyers.
- It is written on a napkin covered in chocolate ice cream stains.
- It Begins with Bigly ends with Yuuuuge! and the middle reads “America! F*ck Yeah!”
But will you or I be alive when it comes into being…
Given the fact that the two attempts at Obamacare replace by the GOP failed primarily because just enough Senators felt it would fall too harshly on their constituents, trying to pass a tax bill that would achieve essentially the same result adds another layer of toxicity to a tax bill that is already unpopular with a growing number of party members for everything from cuts in the mortgage deduction to shrinkage of allowable IRA contributions to eliminating state and local tax deductions.
Trump needs every single vote he can get, and given his party, he is still going to be very close to having them (itself a terrible reflection on the party and its true intentions), but adding more reasons to vote against it doesn’t seem smart…but then Donnie always has had a skill in throwing monkey wrenches into his own party’s efforts. His total incompetence as President has, ironically, been a true saving grace in staving off the worst of the party and its agenda.
I keep trying to restrain my sharp tongue, and these people keep making it necessary to let fly. Fuck you, GOP! Fuck you very much!
Much truth there, and I hope you’re right in this particular case.
President Donald Trump - if he weren’t white, you could call him the Terrorist in Chief.
McTrump’s: 323 Million Not Served
Interesting. Despite all of the Trump administration’s efforts at sabotage, so far enrollments are up sharply. I hope they continue at this pace.
This fucker wants Americans to die of preventable diseases.
It’s about Obama…people who are or will become ill are just collateral damage he doesn’t give a shit about.
These people are monsters, not deserving of the description as “people.” #tuckfrump
Go ahead, Don. Make my day. Do your worst. That’s my attitude right now. Let them reach rock bottom, hurt as many of their own voters as possible - these people are unreachable. I’m sorry but I’m out of compassionate for their “economic anxiety.” Screw them. And, yes, I’m on the marketplace. I had a total of two choices here in Richmond. Nope, the state’s capital is not the rural south.
And it gives back almost 1 trillion to the wealthy 1% who on top of that make major bank from the tax cuts…win/win for the GOP and their rich donors…
This may pass in the House but it will be a huge lift for McConell to get it through the Senate. Last week McCain was yelling about the lack of regular order wrt the tax cuts for ultra rich. He is right. A major overhaul of the tax code is being proposed without hearings or any public input. And to throw this poison pill into the mix does not help. I hope it goes down in flames.
Make Trump sign an E.O. He takes the blame for fucking up the health insurance markets as well as the health delivery system. Single payer anyone?
Tweeter in Chief will now be able to rant at 3 a.m. using 280 characters; they’ve changed the policy and doubled the number of characters. Can’t to wait to hear and read more delusional venom.
“If we put it in tax reform, you’ve got a pay-for right there, a very credible pay-for that’s consistent with what most Republicans want,” Meadows enthused to reporters last week. “Including it in tax reform seems like a very prudent thing to do.”
When is this ridiculous blockhead going to learn the definition of “prudent”? Because upending 20% of our economy by repealing the individual mandate is nowhere near prudent.
