I think Tantaros is an odious right wing hack but I wouldn’t wish this type of harassment on her, or anyone!
If there’s documentation for any of this, Fox is in trouble, because they’re still portraying Ailes as the one bad apple.
In the mid 70s, when I worked at a Fortune 500 office in midtown Manhattan I witnessed some outrageous acts of sexual harassment. I know of only one woman who complained with the result that one guy was fired. The rest of the victims just seemed to brush it off or absorb it.
At the same time there were women openly and brazenly carrying and on affairs with their bosses. They got the best assignments, came in at 10. left at 2. The place was a brothel and that was a major reason that I and a buddy quit in a year’s time. We just could not stand it. Those who can’t or won’t play pay a price for it.
And the enigma of Republican women, ethnic minorities, gays and non-Christians continues. The only common denominator I can see is their selfishness.
I am quite sure that the text of Tantaros’s complaint is the only place where she has ever been described as “highly skilled, thoughtful, and polished.”
One more stake in the heart of FUX News.
Carry on…
I swear the little baby jebus loves me - my first comment when we found out more people were going to be named was: please jebus make O’Reilly one of them.
I’m going to start asking little baby jebus for winning lottery numbers in my dreams…
She recounts how the then-Fox News CEO asked if her co-host on “The
Five,” Greg Gutfeld, was “gay;” if contributor Dana Perino, who worked
as George W. Bush’s White House press secretary, was “a lesbian;” and
whether Gutfeld and Perino were “sleeping together.”
Well, if he’s gay and she’s a lesbian, then of course they would be sleeping together! You can’t slip anything past Ailes!
O’Reilly also allegedly told Tantaros on multiple occasions that he
could “see [her] as a wild girl” and believed she had a “wild side.”
When asked about harassment, O’Reilly denied it, saying “I never told her what her ass meant to me”.
Ailes commenting on how others are unattractive would be funny were it not so pathetic. As though he is a sexual prize?? Good gawd!!
Is not that I wish to happen, but can repress the schadenfreude either. I have seen her throwing some of the most mean spirited attacks on women complaining about harassment and sexism. Karma is a bitch. Besides all this is about money, once she gets paid she will gladly sign a non-disclosure and clam up forever. She is not trying to help any other but herself.
Two high-profile lawsuits from former hosts, both alleging the same kind of abhorrent behavior. If there’s anybody left that thought maybe the allegation somehow weren’t true, they should be dispelled of that notion by now.
Well, just maybe, these are the “traditional family values” with those who watch Fox News…
#ManyPeopleAre Saying
#BelieveMe
Yes - O’Reilly has a pattern they can use. He’s been sued for harassment more than once - I just don’t remember exactly how many times.
I’m doing such a happy dance!!!
The technical term is “hostile work environment” which is a form of harassment demonstrated by severe and pervasive conduct permeating the work environment and interfering with an employee’s ability to perform his or her job. Based on all of the allegations concerning Fox, I wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of employees have reason to complain.
Wow, these Fox ladies are sure coming out the woodwork. It must be tough because they have been so hard on others.
I would never perpetuate language or actions as described in FOX complaint.
Apparently Scott Brown does not know the difference between “perpetuate” and “perpetrate”. Admittedly, there is only a one letter difference, but still one expects better from a one-time US Senator.
perpetuate
verb (used with object), perpetuated, perpetuating.
- to make perpetual.
- to preserve from extinction or oblivion: to perpetuate one’s name
Â
perpetrate.
verb (used with object), perpetrated, perpetrating.
- to commit: to perpetrate a crime.
- to present, execute, or do in a poor or tasteless manner: Who perpetrated this so-called comedy?
Scott Brown could be a copy editor for TPM.
Front page says “Bombshell allegations”. Bombshell’s allegations? Nah.
Remember Megyn Kelly also suggested she was harassed by Ailes.
