(From The Onion) University of Alabama head football coach Nick Saban today called for Governor Bentley to step down immediately or risk doing what he described as “further damage” to the Alabama football program. “It is inconceivable to me,” Saban said at his weekly press conference, “that a true Crimson Tide alum could have been carrying on an affair at the time the team was preparing for our national championship game against Clemson.” Saban described distractions such as a governor’s pecadillos as “all it takes to cause an offside or a missed tackle at a crucial moment in a game with the national championship on the line.” “We lost last January, and we cannot let that happen again. The governor needs to step down so that all of Tide Nation can refocus on the 2017 campaign. There can be no higher priority.” Saban had no opinion when asked if an Auburn alumnus in the governor’s mansion would pose a threat to Tide football. “We will have to wait and see on that, and I have no further comment.” he said.

Yet how long was frmr Alabama Gov Don Siegleman in prison, and wan’t Virginia’s former gov. convicted on more direct evidence of bribery - and had his case overturned? So, ya - doubt he will ever see the inside of a jail.

The ultimate villains in this affair are the IT Support Staff for the Governor. They should have taken 5 minutes to explain the details using the IPhone and IPad and this would not be an issue obviously. Damn those IT people.
