Actually, Harry wasn’t yet born when the Falklands war was fought.

Yep. It’s hard to comprehend how much decorum it took for Harry to be in the same room with him and pretend he wasn’t.

Exactly. What needs to happen are hearings that show trump’s malignant corruption and the illegalities he is involved in. Promote all that day after day on TV where folks will HEAR it and people will turn from him. Reading about it will not cut the mustard. People must have his betrayal of this country dropped in their laps like wet sloppy dog shit so to speak. Sorry for the descriptive terms but that is what is needed to wake folks out of their stupor. Yes, I believe trump betrayed us. I’ve read Mueller’s report 3 times so far. And when other news is added in it becomes inescapable that he conspired with the Russians to throw the election. And it’s the reason for his obstruction. But that is only my humble opinion. I think at this point there isn’t enough time for an impeachment + trial to get rid of this evil man. It then comes down to the election. Unless some situation comes right out of left field that blows up his wobbly support structure that results in his resignation.

That we may be able to survive 4 years of trump says a lot.
I’ve been around since Truman and trump is by far the worst yet. Even counting Nixon. My wife has put up with decades of me bad mouthing him. And comes trump.

I don’t see it changing much. The media that supports Trump just won’t show it. Worse, they’ll give summaries that criticize, minimize and distort the testimony, twisting it in his favor, along with portraying those testifying as unreliable or liars. And Trump’s base will watch ONLY the media that supports Trump, so they won’t be swayed. Whereas everyone else that is already disgusted and against him doesn’t need to hear testimony to know he’s a lying, grifting, criminal obstructionist.

I’m afraid televised Trump hearings aren’t the panacea the Left hopes for.

Maybe not but the alternative of laying down to the right and letting trump walk all over America and turn us into a dictatorship is UNACCEPTABLE.

When specifically asked about access to semi-automatic rifles, Trump claimed that people use them for “entertainment.”

He’s right. That’s the problem.

And no “dead while cleaning the bat” reported yet

I do wish Beto had decided to run against Cornyn (such a scatty cockwomble who kept failing upwards–how most Texas GOP do see: Bush, George W. and Perry, Rick). But M. J. Hegar is great and offers positive contrasts to “Big Bad John”.

Chalk me up to being old fashioned old guy who is not up on twitter jargon but should I assume “Minus 22%” for North Carolina for example to be a 22% spread against trump? Same for the rest of the list?

I am an early (after the War Boomer). When I was in high school, someone born in 1949 was “too young for me to date”…and as I then went to undergrad and grad school, that changed a tad. I settled on an “immediate age cohort” spanning those born from 1944-51.

Demographics and shared experiences took care of the rest. I know my cohort and those of either side of me (and people have different devices they use in this area).

I believe that, notwithstanding the fact that we are political wonks here, the fact still remains that people (of either side of the GOP/DEM divide) who are older pay more attention to politics…But youngsters do not vote in the same ballpark… and they are going to HAVE to, in the face of the existential threat Trump presents…

Maybe everyone of any age is going to have to educate those of adjacent younger age cohorts.

Being that younger people tend to be more liberal, the DNC should have made Civic Education of the Young their number one priority starting with the minute Rupert Murdoch started FOX news. I am serious on this.

Their number one priority
