It is not an election poll, think of it as an attitude poll a measure of expectation, maybe depression, maybe lack of faith in the Dems. Maybe a reflection of the news. It was not a poll of who one is voting for.

I am certain he will desecrate those beaches and the memory of the men who were wounded or died there with some asinine comment.

Thanks for posting this. I put it on a different thread before I came here, and I hope every person in the U.S. gets to see it today. While our national clown is performing his pratfalls abroad, this crap is quietly being done right under our noses.

A relative says he owns an AR-15 (just one of many guns in his personal “collection”) and wouldn’t dream of giving it up, “because it’s fun”. I haven’t seen or spoken to him in a couple of years, since there is no way to be in the same room with such a dimwit without impacting my own mental health.

Our problem here and on other discussion boards is that people look at cautious optimism as foolhardiness. I have laid out on several occasions that Trump being on the ballot in 2020 exposes us to grave danger (a Russian Agent, Russian cheats, voter suppression) and that him even being on the ballot is a testament to a gross failure of our Law Enforcement AND Judicial Systems.

But that does not mean we cannot do everything in our power to see to it that the Rule of Law is upheld and to not fill people with hopelessness.

And it does not give us the right to ignore real progress when progress is made.

My wife is a Lioness. She is the kind of person who does not need someone giving her a pat on the head when she exerts some courage. She does not curl up and die because some cynic says “we’re doomed”. And, most importantly of all SHE DOES NOT FEEL LIKE A FOOL FOR HOPING.

Granted, most people are not like her (she is the person who kept me alive after Trump won)…But a fair amount of us will gladly fight when they think they have a chance (people like me). Building on progress is the name of the game. ATTACK like an S.O.B when you can is the name of the game. DO NOT let up is the name of the game. If gallows humor is someone’s schtick, do it on cable, not with people hanging on to their Republic by a shred.

Trump is a paper tiger and he is going DOWN.
