Discussion: 2 Los Angeles Officers Charged With Raping Women On Duty

Discussion for article #246145

They could face life in prison if convicted.

You guys are going to just love prison. Karma’s a bitch, and so will you be.

They will be sent to jail for life. Good.

Suspended since 2013? Why did it take so long?

This and unarmed civilian shootings should be characterized as police corruption. The average white suburbanite just can’t believe that a police officer would kill someone without just cause. Police corruption is something they can understand.

Everyone in this country has oversight, even if you are an independently wealthy billionaire. The police can be no different. If you are a police officer and think otherwise, change careers.

Maybe they were upset because their football careers didn’t pan out. That would explain it. /sarcasm

The arm of the law isn’t the only thing that’s long… getting around to punishing officers is also…what did you think I was alluding to?

Big cities are chronically short of policemen. Affluent suburbs pay better, offer far better working conditions, and get the pick of police academy graduates. They often do a lot of screening. The most marginal ones end up working in big city PDs. It’s a pity but I don’t know what the answer is.

I think I’m confused. I was responding to the article when it stated they’ve been on unpaid leave since 2013.

I was trying to be funny when I said the arm of the law wasn’t the only thing that was long being an allusion to their dicks being long…gees if I have to explain my lame jokes it really makes it a lot more work than I want to do!

Gee, what happened to the phrase “(any town/city)'s finest”. God bless America?

Hey, TPM: some sort of caption indicating that that is the police chief and not one of the accused officers would be helpful.
