We of the Texas GOP committee are not going to give those coastal elite liberals the satisfaction of saving our own lives.

Good. Hope they get close, yell and scream a lot, and have a great time. Tick, tick, tick…

Keeping the “Southern Strategy” alive through voter suppression by KAG-ging (Killing American Geriatrics)!

One can only hope that Trump/RethugniCONS can kiss their 38 electoral votes away and Texas will turn purple!

In November 3rd, let us all VOTEOUT #BenedictDonald = America’s #1 Traitor!

Addendum:

Trump is de-constructing the guardrails of America, one of which by NOT appointmenting someone to FEC so they cannot have a quorum!

Trump is killing America literally and figuratively!

“Abbott’s rule includes some exceptions — such as religious services — but specifically does not exempt ‘any person attending a protest or demonstration involving more than 10 people’.”

I am convinced that when highly-evolved cockroach archaeologists eventually uncover the mysterious ruins of our once-thriving civilization, they finally will conclude – after much antennae scratching – that the COVID mass-extinction event was caused by two primary sources of super-spread: Megachurches and Trump rallies.

Good News: Well before early voting.
Bad News: I have relatives in Houston.

The Texas GOP should assume all medical costs arising from Covid occurring with workers, volunteers, traced contacts, etc, but attendees are on their own for medical care.

Two weeks later, fewer asshats in the world. I’m not sure if I’m against that, to be honest.

From the article:
[Mayor Sylvester Turner:] “the city will decide what steps must be taken to protect the health and safety of employees, visitors, and the general public.”

May I suggest: Let them into the convention center; declare an active emergency at 9 AM; during the first morning, erect two concentric rings of fencing around the entire perimeter, thirty feet apart; post city police around the outer fence; and let nobody through for the duration of a 14-day quarantine. Then test every single person leaving. They’ll need to close the airspace too, refusing to let Marine One exit the premises.

" The vote to hold the convention in-person took place during a virtual meeting of the committee."

Just dumb as a box of rocks.

For Texan GOPers this is a "Remember the Alamo"moment.
What they don’t know, cause you have to read, is Davy Crockett and Jim Bowie died.
They still think they are alive and are Republicans.

The problem is the varying time from exposure to hospitalization or other immobilization. Fifteen days later, there would be a whole lot more CoViD-positive asshats acting as superspreaders in every county in the state, and in the District of Columbia, actively transmitting to the rest of us.
