It is perfectly legal to sell cannabis and liquor in the state of Washington. It is illegal to sell these things to children. This crime is enforced not by putting children in jail, but with fines, some of them existential, to the seller.
It is perfectly legal to advertise on national TV. It is illegal for the US government to sponsor campaign advertising. We should be holding the buyer responsible, but more importantly we should really be holding the seller responsible.

The United States of America refuses to feed its own people, much less people starving to death in the world. In Pennsylvania, babies are now being born with measles, possible affected for life, because of Trump and the Republicans.

I think the more pertinent question is CAN we make these criminals pay. Even if the Dems control both the House and the Senate, will their ‘crack’ leadership team do anything? I have my doubts. Republicans commit crimes, and Democrats in a position to do something about it will forgive and forget while those of us who put these Democrats in power sit around and watch it happen again. One simply has to look at how the Obama and Biden administrations held the Republicans responsible (hint… THEY didn’t).
