This is a very specific kind of threat, ask Chilean student refugees of the early 1970s. Unlike the Argentines, who mostly used transport planes to dump opponents of the regime in the sea or lakes, Pinochet’s “helicopter rides” featured prominently in the Caravana de la Muerte. In both the Argentinian and Chilean cases, horrendous methods were employed to assure the bodies sank, avoiding the bloat-and-float problem leading to recovery on a beach or by fishermen. Methods included pre-ejection disembowelment and tying heavy objects to victims.
The problem for the society was the following decades of living with the stigma of such human rights abuses. Thank God, Ossoff calls these people out now so we don’t end up living out decades of shame later. Americans, and most of our former allies, are already pretty ashamed of what our home-grown nationalists have done to the country.

he outlet also reported on a clip from Marx’s own podcast in 2020 in which he described throwing his young son after the boy pushed his daughter. The Bulwark first dug up the clip back in July.

Today, my less than super, but not at all artificial, intelligence tells me the oligarchs are upset with us voters. We aren’t buying the fairy tales anymore. Things are falling apart. Everywhere. We’re focused on November 3 because that’s when the survival effort is empowered. It will take 2 years to gather steam, and position the forces to decisively end the fascist civil war redux. Let’s hope we don’t run out of time.

At what point do they say ‘We have enough.’ ? They keep building centers but there is no end in sight and why they need so many. If they are so good at gathering information, you only need a couple of them. Not gazillions.
