Public school districts will be forced to raise property taxes or close school buildings. And this admin will probably make it really hard for parents to apply for vouchers and probably will demand proof of citizenship along with other hoops to jump

Without a Department of Education, there likely won’t be many federal funds to distribute, but the administration would be more likely to make it EASIER for vouchers, not harder.

If they can mandate proof of citizenship for the spending of the federal funds (again, if any) they certainly will and I wouldn’t be surprised if the majority of “education money” comes in the form of grants directly to parents with a proof of citizenship application process. Bypass public schools entirely.
