So, the heavy hitters have pretty much all gone…the best speakers who would inspire people. That makes sense, Biden isn’t the greatest speaker, though he can be very passionate and strong at times he can also wander. I expect one of his best speeches tonight, simply because he has the best themes to work with and a good team producing the content. I’m hoping that they don’t gloss over the “Uncle Joe” part of his character though…he really needs to come across as everyone’s favorite uncle who knows how to get things done.

I suspect tonight to be another night of strong production, with perhaps more discussions between Joe and the people, and more stories of how things are so bad in the nation right now due to Trump and the Republicans. That’s the first hour, setting up why we need a change, with the second hour stating how Biden/Harris is the change we need. They have been telling a good story all week, now we see if they can bring it home with a strong finish.

This also will set the stage for the Republican’s and their show next week…Biden and the Democrats have to leave a strong message that resonates against the massed propaganda and lying that will have to happen next week. Trump’s show will be all about how awful the Democrats are, how everything is their fault…if Biden can leave us with a reason to hope, that will contrast with Trump and the Republican message of hate.

Yang and Bloomberg? smh

Looking forward to Pete and Andrew Yang. I didn’t think Andrew was going anywhere politically and I think I was dead wrong about that. And good - he’s funny, charismatic, smart and young. We need him.

I’d like to see them bring out a pit bull to carry the message of the day that another tRumpp stooge has been arrested. The company you keep.

Well, Giuliani noted that terrorists never attacked the US during George W Bush’s presidency (after that thing with the WTC anyway).

Yeah, Trump is really going lay on the racism thick this time around…“a vote for Biden is a vote for black hordes raping your women and killing your children!” is not far from what he’s saying in that quote. It’s so disconnected from the truth that it’s astounding he thinks he can get away with saying it, but if the press doesn’t work hard to get the facts out there he just might.

IT depends on what you mean by get away with it. He’s preaching to his cult of white supremacists and that’s it at this point. Nobody else buys this racist shit. This is what has lost him the suburban woman’s vote.

I can’t tell anymore if this dark horrible place he talks about is something he actually believes is real. But it’s a fantasy - that much everyone knows except those who are on his wavelength. There really aren’t that many who are.

Hey I am impressed, he finally managed to actually say the word “Minneapolis” without verbally mangling it into some hybrid with Indianapolis.

He really thinks repeating this woeful burning ruins hyperbole will be a seller, but then oops, Steve Bannon goes and gets caught being a sleazy law breaker and oh yeah… Don? word up laddy, you are (sadly) POTUS, and this is your presidency not Joe’s. So the vision is pretty clear right now.

He started his presidency with “American Carnage.” It seems to be his reality anyway. I suppose for a deeply racist person living in the shadow of his deeply racist father, seeing culturally diverse cities and suburbs would be greatly unsettling.

Pete is the spook who might actually be competent in a leading role at State.

Duckworth gave almost all and every fucking chickenhawk in the Trump WH–starting with Corporal Bone-Spurs–can STFU when she speaks.

Cory Booker is way more of a badass than most realize; see Street Fight.

Yang: if all he did was make the idea of UBI mainstream, I’ll accept him.

Bloomberg: don’t forget the fucker’s promise to donate millions. Make him do it.

takeaway: I like our bench way more than theirs.

“No, you’re American Carnage!”

(He really is a special kind of idiot, this guy.)
