Dem Leader Bars GOPers Who Refuse To Wear Masks From Joining Committee Meetings

As long as the Republicans insist on the being a political party that thrives on stupidity, we’re going to have nonsense like this.

Well, I’ll be darned. He IS back.

Sorry for the Terminator reference, but that was a thing of beauty.

Leave it to the GOP to keep corona going and continue to devastate the economy by politicizing mask wearing. Makes it easier to spot them when you are out and about.

A lot more of this, please. Everyone needs to stop and think about why the Republican party would politicize mask wearing, a basic tool to help stop the spread of a deadly disease. Corporations are people, money is speech, tax cuts help poor people, and pollution in the service of industry is a good thing. Let’s add common sense efforts to stop a pandemic is un-American. None of it matters as long as Trump keeps trolling liberals.

Americans are becoming the butt of the world’s jokes, and we deserve it. We are taking the final steps to forfeit any lingering respect or hope that our allies may have held for us.Uncle Sam has been replaced by Archie Bunker.

The funny thing is that if everyone had worn a mask since the early peak back in April, it’s very likely that cases would have continued their decline.and Trump would be several points higher in the polls and probably favored for re-election…

This just feeds into their “poor us” narrative.

The only one that matters is Twitter. Let him get banned from that, and he’ll stroke out and solve most of our immediate problems.

For a while, I likened the requirement for wearing a mask to seat belts - click-it or ticket. All states have laws requiring seat belts and that’s the way it is. I have decided that laws against drunk driving are a better analogy. If you don’t wear a seat belt, you only risk your life. If you drive drunk, you risk others. Likewise with wearing a mask. If you don’t value your life, wear the mask to protect others.

Ah yes. The Petrified Forest.

Though its even worse, since one drunk driver can only do so much harm. But it only took one person getting the virus in the first place to kill over 500,000 people and all the other damage that has been done.

He seems to pile on the damage to himself daily. Missed opportunities abound to take the narrative back, instead he feeds it. Hard to figure out the logic even for a mind as wormy as his. Self preservation should kick in. But nope. In one respect, it comes off like he is purposefully extracting vengeance on the GOP by making them complete lepers by association.

R’s won’t wear masks…at the Select Committee on the Coronavirus Crisis meetings.

Gotcha.

There are no R-run committees in the House, that’s not how it works.

But I fully expect the House republicans to cave on this, and pretty quickly.

The mask wearing issue as a political toy is turning against them.

Wondering what Pence’s sudden embrace of the mask says about internal shit going on at the WH.

Are they getting that close to pushing donnie out of the WH?

Like I said, I found that move AND Azar’s appearance this weekend both extremely interesting for exactly that point.

Couple that with Trump going golfing with Graham, his staff taking down his “white power” retweet, and it certainly creates room for a lot of speculation.
