Dem Chairs Slam White House’s ‘Shocking,’ ‘Damning’ Ukraine Memo

The chairs of the House Intelligence, Judiciary, Oversight and Foreign Affairs Committees on Wednesday released a caustic statement on the White House’s memo describing President Donald Trump’s July call with the Ukrainian president.

“Let’s be clear: no quid pro quo is required to betray our country,”

This is what happens when the “Recall email” does not work.

Now bring on the AUDIO.
It has to be even more appalling.
To hell with edited transcripts. Memos, summaries.

Play the tapes!.
We want to HEAR the weasel …on a loop…just like his grab ‘em by the P was endlessly played.

The Trumpites defenses basically seem to be falling into one of two categories:

  1. He never actually used the specific words “extortion” or “quid pro quo,” so it’s just fine.
  2. He only tied the release of aid funds to them going after Biden 5 or 6 times, not 8, so it’s just fine.

If these are the best defenses one has, one is, to use the technical legal jargon, fucked sky-high.

Dammit, guys. Stop calling this a TRANSCRIPT!

A TRANSCRIPT is a word-by-word record.

THIS is some notes by some flunkies who THINK this is what Zelensky and Cheetoh Jesus said.

And while we’re at it, where are the tax returns? Under audit? Jesus, this must be the slowest audit in American history. And who cares, anyway? Even the head of the IRS says there is nothing preventing the Screaming Carrot Demon’s tax returns from being released

It’s so minimal no one is talking about it, but there is even an emoluments Clause violation in the call. Zelensky tells Trump that when he came to New York, he stayed at Trump Tower.

Edited to take out the word, “transcript”

Trump was just on during his meeting with Zelensky (I have seen it Zelenskiy too; I wonder how the Ukrainians spell it) and he was railing about HRC’s EMAILS again.

I know this is a sign of how empty his justification is (somehow he thinks the Ukrainians have her emails!!! that’s a new one to me) but GOLLY it is hard to listen to him.

I feel for the poor man. It’s so confusing! He got away with threatening Anthony Kennedy’s son, and it worked. Why isn’t this working?

Because finally a witness is trying to go on the record. Can you imagine how much he has done this routinely? What going through all the call transcripts might reveal?

Just so. It’s a "memorandum of telephone conversation", no more no less. Siri or Alexa might have been involved for all we know.

The words released by the White House recounting Mr. Trump’s conversation with Mr. Zelensky look like a transcript, but the document is marked, Memorandum of Telephone Conversation, and it warns that it is not a verbatim account. Instead, it was “developed with assistance from voice recognition software along with experts and note takers listening.”

Not quite.

From someone who used to do it under Obama.

As senior director of the WH Situation Room, I managed POTUS head-of-state calls. So, what light can I shed on the Trump-promised phone transcript? /1

He knows this because many, many people have told him. What a moron.

I’m interested to find out who helps develop Trumps ideas and actions ie: Kennedy, Biden, etc other than FOX. Some of the White House staff have to be involved in telling him how to go about all these criminal actions. He is not smart enough to do it alone.

I watched this interview, and I was surprised that there are no phone calls recorded. So all the chatter about transcripts, memos of something are other. Maybe It was Siri or Alexa in the parlor with Colonel Mustard. Going through Pfeiffer’s tweets right now, very enlightening.

it is not a verbatim account. Instead, it was “developed with assistance from voice recognition software along with experts and note takers listening.”

If this article is correct, there are no tapes:

The U.S. side does not record them as a matter of policy, and instead relies on a combination of automatic voice recognition technology and old-fashioned note-taking by national security officials.

Great. They can release Hillary’s emails and a recording of his treasonous conversations.

Because, get this, HRC no longer matters. She lost.

Sorry, Hillz.

Former Director of the WH Situation Room under BHO. There are several tweets after this elaborating on the no recordings theme

She matters to most of us who voted her and were hoping and counting on having the first woman president in this country’s history. She won the popular vote if you haven’t heard.
