Delta Bans Trump Fans Who Hounded Graham And Romney At Airports

Delta Air Lines has put passengers who heckled Sens. Mitt Romney (R-UT) and Lindsey Graham (R-SC) on its no-fly list, TPM has confirmed.

Delta spokesperson Morgan Durrant confirmed the move to TPM, adding that “we have no other comment or detail” on the matter.

Earned a bonus right there.

Not really a fan of this one. People have the right to petition their representatives with grievances. And those little bits of public appearance are one of the few places that real people can come into earshot of them and let them know what they think.

Guess they’ll have to stay on the Trump Train since they can’t fly.

FAAFO administration strikes again!

Greyhound? or top of the Romney family station wagon??

I think the reason is it was in an airport and they don’t want this to carry over into a plane in the air. Which is likely. But they need not fret. They can take a train or a cab to Barcelona or Paris.

Whaaaa? Airline rescues Republicans from Trump fans. Trumpy heads will fly off trying to reconcile all the dissonance.

So likely in fact that it did happen.

Doing it within the terminal, past the security checkpoint, might be considered disruptive to the point of creating a threat. But in this situation it’s the airline’s no-fly list, not the FAA’s.

Like Twitter, Delta is a privately owned corporation with the right to impose standards of behavior on patrons seeking to use its services. I assume you’d have no issue if they were on the aircraft. This is not that different.

Still, not a fan. If they laid a hand on them, fine. But just because they were made to feel unwelcome? Dangerous precedent.

Because it will absolutely, certainly escalate to a point where a Congressperson is physically assaulted. If they’re treating their own party members this way, what would they do/say to a Dem? Nipping this before it gets nuts, IMO.

That would be an incorrect presumption. We’ve all been horrified over videos in the past where airlines beat up and dragged off paying customers because the airline overbooked flights.

They have way too much power over peaceful people who are not violating safety rules.

Now, could Delta add Lindseymat to their no-fly list for failing to wear his mask in the terminal? In the video, it is always down under his chin.

Or take a Long March. The life of a revolutionary or guerrilla is often bereft of creature comforts.

For heckling Graham, I’d comp 'em an upgrade to first class.

I watched what happened to Romney. Not civil discourse, it was harassment off and on the plane.
