All the jokes and laughter about this are ignoring the simple fact that we’re not Cruz’s audience.

For his target audience, America First makes sense and Paris is this foreign thing, so clearly something about the foreigners means you’re not paying attention to the home base.

He’s an ass, but he’s not stupid. A lot of folks in his target audience nodded their heads along with the tweet.

I’m not convinced that Cruz has the personality and the cravenness to pull off replacing Trump in the movement. Has anyone ever heard anything about Cruz having NPD? Without that, he can’t pull it off. Honestly.
