A lot of folks fall in with the theocracy guys just to hedge their bets that there might be a hereafter consisting of golden streets and virgins, or fire and brimstone. Both options promise eternal life.
I humbly submit that folks should hedge their bets that the heaven and hell are a myth, and they might want to take the only opportunity they will ever have and work to make life on Planet Earth more perfect for themselves and their kids while they are here. Folks can do both options providing they find a church that is interested in religion instead of gaining power for autocrats and dictators.
