“I continue to have some concerns, but I’m not going to make any decisions at this point,” he said.
“I’m gonna wait until we actually vote on the confirmation in a week or so,” he continued, suggesting he may vote to advance Blanche’s nomination out of committee.
That’ll last until, oh, about five minutes before the vote to release the nomination to the floor of the Senate.
There is absolutely no doubt that Blanche will be fully confirmed. None.

You know what the sad part is?
The bulk of them are so geriatric that, by the time this awful period passes, most of them will be dead. There will be no recompense for these people. They will shed this mortal coil and leave all of this behind for us to deal with. (see Graham, Lindsey).

Good luck getting that out of the GOP-run legislatures, and even if, by some miracle, they did pass a law, Trump would veto it and there would not be the votes to overturn.
This timeline sucks…
They’re not as squishy as they are just plain cowardly. Tillis and Cornyn have no excuse for supporting Blanche, other than their terror of the MAGA mob.

“But just to be clear, the President of the United States, who is the plaintiff in this lawsuit, has not agreed in writing to delete the weaponization fund. And there is no guarantee that he or one of the other plaintiffs might raise that issue by way of a lawsuit — a breach of contract lawsuit in the future,” Cornyn pushed back again.
Blanche avoided answering that question directly but did admit that “they could bring a lawsuit and then we would litigate it.”
Missed followup question here: “And, Acting AG but permanent criminal defense attorney Blanche, tell us just how vigorously your DOJ would litigate that potential lawsuit?”

Yep. Lindsay no doubt thought he would recuperate his image after magaism passed. His clock ran out. Same will go for the ones you referred to. They are geriatric and in frail health. Yet they act is if they are gonna live well into their hundreds.

Cornyn being undecided is like Susan Collins being “concerned.” These people sold out to Trump a long time ago, don’t expect them to change now.
