Cori Bush Joins Chorus Of Progressive Dems Calling For Thomas’ Impeachment

As did I, which begs the question: Was Uncle Thomas befuddled by television?

I do not recall being befuddled by television when the Senate confirmed his dumb ass.

Maybe he was referring to people using microfiche to look up his history and asking questions informed by same. He was never the swiftest spoon in the drawer.

Nah. He just needed an adjective to modify “lynching” so he could say the word but claim it was a metaphor. Get people to take him seriously but not literally, sort of thing.

This is the stench that Sotomayor talked about.

Sonia Sotomayer and George Soros should publicly replicate the Thomas - Crow relationship. Bring reporters.

Thomas’ apologists are conveniently looking away. Perhaps a.little theater will catch their attention (or maybe flip their kids’ votes)…

“Hi-Tech Lynching” were powerful words at the time. They have resonated now for nearly a quarter of a century.

“Hi-Tech Lynching” like “deep state” is meant to mean some menace behind a curtain.

Big Money spends big money creating new meanings out of phrases. Lying to take and hold power is expensive.

Rallying around a visibly corrupt justice isn’t ‘shooting themselves in the ass’? Interesting premise.

That’s fine. When the number gets up to 17 or so, it will be extremely hard to maintain a reliable majority of extremists for every partisan issue to come before before the court. 19 or 21 would be even better.

passing ethics reforms at the Supreme Court, expanding the number of sitting justices, and enacting term limits.

I’m with her.

Yes, term limits for every government job. “Till death” is a nice sentiment for marriage, and a little country of 6 million people in 16 states with a life expectancy of 35 years riding horses for transportation.

Today, it’s an open door to corruption.

Agreed. Once before the SCOTUS holds court in a stadium, it’ll be more representative of the nation as a whole than the House of Representatives!?!

If only Cori knew someone in the House to submit that for her..

Yes, then we could have a sitting bench of 13 or 15 selected at random from the pool, which would give us a year round court instead of one that fucks off for four months every summer. Less shadow docketing and punting cases past the next election or expiration of term of congress.
