Of all the bad things tRump has done being able to fire Powell would be one of the worst and most consequential. The last thing we need as a servile toady drafting monetary policy to suit the whims of a MAGA monarch. And if this ends up at SCOTUS, considering their other decisions in allowing him to just fire people and delete agencies, I’m not confident they would do the right thing and keep the Federal Reserve independent. I hope Powell fights tRump to the very end.

Given the racism, the hatred, the corruption, and the incompetence involved in the Alligator Alcatraz project, I think we might be forgiven for renaming it Alligator Auschwitz. Well, maybe not the incompetence, as that’s a Trump trademark for the Trump government. The German Nazis were very competent.
