Well, there’s enough scorn to go around here. Porn and the people who make it have been normalized more in the past 20 years than in the previous however many thousand, but not all the way, and if she thought she could walk around and be a minor celebrity at a conservative shindig without encountering the rankest hypocrisy about her career, she made a bad mistake. Now let’s discuss the evangelicals. If they stopped their porn usage the porn industry would, I’m sure, simply collapse. White supremacists? Show me the women clamoring to date white supremacists and I’ll show you a reason to think maybe, in fact, they’re not the biggest porn addicts on the planet. Until you show me that, I’ll assume they are. Yes, Brandi, the Republican Party is broken, and the problem is every last one of the people in it.

Yeah, and their excuse for expelling her was pretty bogus on its face:
“A few concerned parents rightly alerted us to the extremely pornographic nature of her social media posts, and event leadership immediately took the appropriate steps in keeping with the best interest of the minors present at the event,” Kolvet said in the statement, adding that the non-profit has a policy of not involving itself with those who “publish sexually explicit and pornographic content at student events.”
I don’t care to check it, but unless she was making pornographic posts while she was at the conference, that’s a ridiculous argument. And I thought that most mainstream social media already censors content to some extent, so it’s unclear to me just how anything she would have been posting on “social media” should have got them all hot and bothered. Unless they were looking somewhere else…
