Rep. James Comer (R-KY) relied on the classic political cop out on a Sunday interview when asked if House Republicans will look into former President Donald Trump and his son-in-law Jared Kushner’s financial entanglements with the Saudis.
I saw this, I laughed… he started with “its all on the table” added some word salad while he thought of how he’d undo that then looped into saying Kushner was interviewed about something before so now it’s Hunter’s turn
a private equity firm with $2 billion investment from a sovereign wealth fund led by the Saudi Crown Prince
Trump’s golf courses began hosting tournaments for LIV Golf, a professional golf tour financed by the Saudis.
An emolumental problem that should be investigated.
He [Comer] also suggested that Democrats had already investigated Kushner’s business dealings as part of the Jan. 6 investigation.
“The difference between Jared Kushner and Hunter Biden is that Jared Kushner actually sat down and was interviewed,” Comer said. “So, he’s already been investigated.”
Has the overwhelming privilege and invulnerability of the rich ever been more on display in our history? I suppose you have to go back to the robber barons to find this kind of blatant entitlement.
This kind of obvious out in the open corruption makes me want to quit reading the news.
If there’s anything of substance to be discovered in the “Hunter Biden” “laptop” conspiracy, I have complete confidence that James Comer is too dumb to find it.
Comer is a major jackass. He doesn’t even pretend. He insisted Jared had already been ‘investigated’ which is why it was ALL ‘Hunter Biden’s laptop’. A blatant lie and he didn’t even flinch when he was called out on it.
So who’s taking bets on when at least one of these allegedly zealous investigators of political corruption and self-dealers turns out that have engaged in such themselves, fairly recently and egregiously, and then on which one(s)? I say that the schoolyard saying about he who smelt it, dealt it, rings true here. And my guess is by summer, and basically all of them, Katie.
They won’t/can’t investigate Jarvanka because they’d actually find something that would make the Guardians Of Plutocrats’ BFF Mister Bone Saws look bad.
They plan to build a Trump hotel in Oman as part of a $4 billion golf resort. Oman is one of the most desolate, waterless (other than the ocean, of course) places I’ve ever been. And the Sahara in Egypt.
