There rarely aren’t. Memories that last a lifetime. :innocent:

Yeah that part struck me as well. Storing up favors and blackmail material against future needs is what Cohen did, so that’s not surprising. What surprises me is Cohen’s planning ahead - getting Falwell tickets to a concert several years prior to the primaries.

Why did Cohen even know who Falwell was prior to 2016?

By the way, There will be an Antifa Thug Training Seminar on Friday at the usual location.
Bring your soup and be ready to rumble.

I don’t think that part of the code will survive if challenged with this Supreme Court. Roberts, the conservative extremists and the boofer-rapist will band together to strike it down. Bribery with suitcases of cash and vacations is legal, money is free speech. Just a matter of time. There is nothing wrong with blackmail – people pay for silence all the time. So many NDAs in very large settlements…

My favorite analogy: your child has been kidnapped by a mobster. The mobster shows up in your office to ask you for a favor. If he never even mentions your missing child, has there been no extortion?

It only counts if you tell us you’ll release the findings very soon, in the next two weeks.

Doesn’t have to be true, of course. In fact, it shouldn’t be. But you should say it nevertheless.

Slightly OT, I’d like to know what happened to all the materials carted out of Epstein’s house. I can’t believe Epstein didn’t have cameras hidden everywhere. Or has Barr 86ed everything?

Just for a moment I thought skank titty was referring to one of Melanoma’s silly cones.

The SDNY has what was taken from his NYC residence. The Island? They never secured that place for weeks after his arrest. Whatever was left there, Barr now has control of.

Don’t be silly.

This would only be worth $200 on Jeopardy.

I keep running into people in various online venues who think that Antifa is a “thing,” an exact left-wing replica of the right-wing militias, complete with officers and badges. They aren’t able to process the fact that overgrown 12-year-olds seem to be concentrated on the right.

I’m not following the logic of this sentence. What payout would falwell have received?

Please. I do not indulge in such juvenilia. I make sure my sex jokes are of a far more refined and sophisticated nature.

This is Maddow as an interviewer which has a centrality to this story.

I cannot see her having Mikey (who is working with a reputation containing plenty of lies) to chat about sweet nothings which would not only shatter what’s left of his credibility but result in–at best–tepid sales of his upcoming book

Pay-out might be the wrong word. He negotiated a settlement from the university when he “left.”

Yeah it was quite the settlement - $10 million?

I’ve read that Liberty University gave Falwell $10.5 million to go away. Falwell perhaps had more leverage in those negotiations about his leaving before Cohen’s book appeared.
