And that is the way of Social Change…in many curriculums, Social Change is taken by the student at the same time as Collective Behavior.
Both courses deal with human groups at their most unstable and people when they are most unmoored. With respect to social change, not everybody is woke at the same time. Same thing with expressing hope against a tyrant.
A lioness/lion will assume a posture of certainty of success which will be joined by less confident people down the road.
And on these (TPM) threads, some of these less confident have hesitated because of being challenged by hecklers to which the lionesses/lions are mostly immune.
OT The reason I am dwelling on this theme at this particular time is because Josh, weeks ago, introduced the theme/concept/situation of Dems being habitually unconfident and frightened about the future. This is something that the boors on the Right constantly play on
It’s hard to believe that anyone would consider and hire him for his communication skills.
Holy Moly! He has some mangled-up visions of reality inside that thick skull of his! And the link from his brain to his mouth is like algae growing in the Devil’s septic tank.
Shepard Smith did his first broadcast on CNBC commenting on the debate. Mediaite has it.
Trumpy is holding a rally in Duluth,MN tonight at 8:00 Central time. I could be mistaken on the time.
I’m gonna watch it because he’s in my state and I want to hear what he says about the debate. I also want to see how stupid the crowd is. Duluth is blue if I recall, but the area surrounding it is pretty red.
OTO
Ari Melber had John Bolton on his show, who the hell knows why. Bolton is a pissant’s piss. I’ve vowed never to look at a page of his book, and I hope it moves to the junk sales bargain bin in a hurry.
More of what Trump did last night. Hit all the talking points and try to be louder than the other guy. It’s effective with the pro wrestling fans and truckdrivers who are the base.
Murtaugh was quite good there.
He did exactly what he set out to do.
He managed to spew campaign talking points over and over again that were only tangentially related to the question and do it for 8 solid minutes before Tapper finally did something about it.
What makes it worse is that I’m pretty sure Tapper caught on after a couple of minutes that was the plan.
I’m not giving these news people any credit until they learn to not put up with it for more than the first 30 seconds or so.
