Cipollone Reaches Deal With Jan. 6 Panel To Testify In Transcribed Interview Friday

Have no idea what Cipollone will say neither does Trump.
Must be driving him more nuts then he is at this moment.
A control freak who has no control!

“The liberty of a democracy is not safe if the people tolerated the growth of private power to a point where it becomes stronger than the democratic state itself. That in its essence is fascism: ownership of government by an individual, by a group, or any controlling private power.”

Cipollone reportedly told the committee that he would only testify publicly on former Justice Department official Jeffrey Clark’s role

Plus, he wants a recliner and two girls waving fans over him.

In Cipollone’s case, there’s actual, legitimate issues of Client-Attorney/Executive Privilege, I believe,

I understand that Pat Cipollone will testify, but the bigger question is will Patsy Baloney testify?

Methinks Fulton was first in the list.

and he now knows another staffer will be testifying on the 12th… pinched to tell the truth or take the fifth…

I’m thinking Mr. Cipollone’s explanation of “every crime imaginable” is going to be epic. EPIC.

I mean, I don’t think there are really very many other interesting questions to ask him.

Does this mean they aren’t going to ask him any questions about what was going on in the warroom at the Willard hotel?

It’s called a “deal.”

The committee and Pat’s lawyers drew it up, and both have apparently signed off on it.

I would be shocked if it’s not also on video. The court reporter is definitely going to record the interview to ensure the accuracy of the final transcript, and I would think Cipollone wants an accurate recording of everything he says. Transcripts can be distorted more than video can.

The J6 proceedings aren’t “legal” in the sense of being bound by the Federal Rules of Evidence or whatever. The only real difference is their political effect.

Not necessarily.

The crime-fraud exception applies if:
• the client was in the process of committing or intended to commit a crime or fraudulent act, and
the client communicated with the lawyer with intent to further the crime or fraud, or to cover it up.

Yep, and I am wary that they are setting up Eastman and Clark to be the fall guys.

Insulating Trump is the #1 priority for Trump, FoxNewsMaxONN, and all of Trump’s minions.

Notice both Eastman and Clark have fifth-ed themselves to death, at their interviews.

And without their testimony, we may never know what they and Trump said to each other, while alone together. Though we DO know East and Clark were in on meetings with Trump and others.

Problem for Trump is, when he gets angry, he screams. And then everyone present can testify as to what he said. And that isn’t hearsay. That is direct witness testimony.

Wyoming is a heavily Red state with a single statewide House seat due to the low population. No split districts where someone less conservative (or less MAGA these days) has a chance. If she’s still down by 30 points or more in the polling, there probably aren’t enough disaffected GOP voters for her to win as an Independent.

Also I think her heart is with the GOP and it would be difficult to go Independent. She likes everything about the GOP except Trump.
