A lot of reporters and journalists are still unable to grasp just how wild the lying is going to be, so they get caught off guard.

Interviewer: “Mr. Representative, we’ve all heard the recording of the President offering $10,000 to a known Russian mobster to have Adam Schiff assassinated. How do you defend this?”

Rep: “Well, Chris (if that is your real name), that recording was a plant by aliens from Triton, the largest moon of Neptune. The FBI has corroborated this in several classified briefings.”

It doesn’t matter what inconvenient facts are presented to someone like Scalise. A demagogue never changes their mind to adapt to new information. Their minds are already made up and sealed like a drum.

What I want to know is why, every time Scalise says anything, or is quoted anywhere, it is not qualified by a parenthetical disclosure that this is the same man who actually claimed he once addressed a White Supremacist Group without having any fucking idea he was addressing a White Supremacist Group. And it was ok with the Modern Contemporary GOP.

It’s ok. He brings out our demons. For almost three years now the first thing I do in the morning, besides wake up, is check to see if someone special has passed on. That’s not a good way to start the day and I long for the days when I kissed my wife and took the dogs downstairs to go out and started the coffee. He makes us hate, and that’s what I hate most about him.

If his reaction had been to do something about guns OR to do something to ensure everyone has mental health care, it’d be a mean thought. But given the opportunity to use that incident to change the system for the better he chose to oppose gun control and getting people healthcare to maintain his power and his donors. I’m not glad he got shot, but if one shooting victim in this country deserved it—even if he didn’t deserve it at the time—it’s Scalise.

His campaign is selling “Get over it” t-shirts, a reference to going on television, admitting not just the one felony but saying you do felonies all the time and to get over it. I hardly think a tag would matter.

The fact that Chris Wallace is rubbing Scalise’s nose in Donald J. Treason’s ubiquitous shit indicates that the tide is turning. The people at Fox who attempt to report real news, as opposed to the propagandists who voluminously spew right-wing hatred and bigotry against the Constitution and those who take their oaths seriously, demonstrates that there are “cracks in the dam”.

Even people at Fox are beginning to realize that Donald J. Treason and those who support him are vile.
