Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson officially kicked off his reelection campaign last Sunday for the Feb. 23, 2027 mayoral election where he will face a crowded field of challengers. At least 14 people have announced their intention to run for mayor of the Windy City, though that number is expected to drop once nominating petition filing…
Did she really say “ he has more energy than any boy “ or is that a typo and it was “ anybody “ ? I kinda hope it’s the former, such an energetic little boy ! ![]()
Yeah, a lot of them are jerks. One said he would help the housing market by revoking the rule to pay prevailing wage to the construction workers. Nothing was said about the cost of materials to build. This guy also added that he would allow four story rentals to be built. Except there are building codes that do not support four story buildings. Conclusion: it won’t happen.
It is actually 39 companies and many are not in new construction but in old warehouses.
Judge Timothy J. Kelly did not immediately rule but in further reading:
The Justice Department, in its court filing Tuesday, appeared to react to the outlets’ claim that they had been denied due process by including three separate letters to the outlets that cited the grounds for their purported “initial” banning, and giving them until this Friday to respond to avoid a permanent ban.
So they were banned immediately on Friday night, but Tuesday (yesterday) letters were written telling them what caused their ban. Nice delayed after thought.
It could be her accent or it was a typo.
He works non-stop. He has the most energy than anyboy. He is, from morning to evening, non-stop working.
She obviously has not seen him falling asleep at the desk in front of cameras. That shows great energy. LOLOLOL
How would she know?..She’s never home.
“‘standards of professionalism and decorum expected of those given access to the White House
like the guy who was given access to the white house who calls people ‘piggy’?
She can add psychic ability to her many many natural gifts. How would she know he works all the time? She isn’t in the same city he is, let alone building.
“He’s very focused, he has a lot on his plate. It’s very different what’s going on around the world now,” Melania said. “But I think he’s doing the best that he can. He works non-stop. He has the most energy than anyboy. He is, from morning to evening, non-stop working.”
We (meaning pretty much the entire world) would all be better off if he just stopped entirely - including all brain-stem functions.
White House Claims News Outlets Violated ‘Standards of Professionalism’
Did the White House allege any facts? You know examples of actions that violated agreed standards of professionalism or did they feel satisfied with alleging sweeping conclusions. Will anybody notice and demand that they support their claim with actual facts?
I’m not sure where “ home “ is for her now…. Certainly not the White House, possibly Mar A Lago. Or that gawdawful townhouse in NYC. Maybe she has a place on Trophy Wife Island, anywhere as long as it isn’t in Belize…
Granny just asked Alexa for tomorrow’s temperature. At the end, Alexa reported a Flood Watch being in effect. Granny thanked Alexa, naturally, which returned the response, “You’re welcome! Good luck staying dry in that Flood Watch tomorrow.”
Tech is just so… so empathetic!
Susana Mendoza claimed that backlash to data centers is overblown and that a temporary ban on new construction ignores the fact that there are already 39 active data centers operating within city limits.
It may be overblown or underestimated, so 39 mega centers sound like a good test group. City officials should study everything that happens with them, especially their effects, so they can answer voter’s questions knowledgably. At least a year’s worth of data.
The problem with AI is nobody claims to understand it. N-o-b-o-d-y. So, why rush… and to where exactly?
Home is where your boyfriedn is, not where your husband is. And besides the WH is suppose to house the POTUS and spouse during their term(s) in office, it’s not their home. Because if it were truly their home then they would have change their voter registration.
Yes, and also that while he eats some paste, it’s not really that much paste.
The White House banned Politico, citing anonymous sources. It provided the quotes.
In a letter defending its ban of Politico, the White House critiqued a report based on a press call it conducted, in which reporters were told not to name the speaker.
But among the examples the White House cited was an article based on a press call the White House hosted, according to an invitation reviewed by The Washington Post. In the call, reporters were instructed to cite an anonymous “senior administration official” in relaying the news to the public, according to a recording reviewed by The Post.
. . .
Around the six-minute mark, the press aide reminded participants of the terms of the briefing: “Just for new entrants to the call, I’d like to remind everyone these comments are on background attributable to a senior administration official.
“But I think he’s doing the best that he can." - Melania
I take that as an honest assessment. It explains everything he says and does, none of which is acceptable or justifiable.
I’ll just drop my confused thoughts here, though few will read them.
In today’s and the last few days’ Berkshire Eagle there were reports of energy shortages. No, not of gasoline or diesel but of natural gas. The natural gas company serving municipalities in northern Berkshire, MA can add no new customers. It lacks the supplies of gas.
Also, oil heating costs and other utilities, esp. electricity, are skyrocketing so fast that, according to the Eagle, many are despairing of continuing to live here. (Add them to the already long list.)
I am left wondering if we in the Berkshires, with no data centers nearby, are suddenly feeling the effects of the shortages these centers produce. Bear with me. Electric companies buy energy from one another. Maybe natural gas producers do, too? Let’s stick to the electric, about which I know a little. Let’s not get conspiratorial. Provision of electricity to one place rather than another isn’t a political choice but one based on size of demand. Maybe the same in natural gas world?
I guess what I’m getting at is that, you may not live near any or but a few AI data centers, but their demands on energy may be affecting you closer to home than you imagine. Electrical grids and the buying and selling of energy, certainly electrical and maybe natural gas.
Stay warm this winter. It won’t be easy for millions of Americans across the frozen North and many many more millions of people worldwide.
” Melania said. “But I think he’s doing the best that he can."
However your headline said he is trying, so doing or trying because they are different.
If this is TRUMP trying his best, I would say we would be better off if he just stopped trying.
