Augusta has been admitting black members since 1990.
About the same time it began admitting women as members, although they could play as guests before that.
It has fuck-all to do with the South, and a lot to do with an exclusive private club’s rules.

Honestly.
By your own admission, Augusta started admitting (I’ll add reluctantly and under outside pressure) in 1990. That’s roughly 25 years --a generation! – after The Civil Rights Act.
The azaleas can’t be beautiful enough to distract from that level of racism.
Also, Stone Mountain is beautiful this time of year, too.
Adding: First female members (2) were 2012.
We’re talking about Georgia because of what Georgia did in relation to voting rights LAST WEEK!

Maybe someone should ask Gov Kemp how he feels about Republican legislators going after Delta’s Fuel Tax Subsidy because the airline disagrees with this law?
Maybe someone should ask why he thinks its okay for the legislature to be able to remove the Sec of State and local and county elections boards from certifying election results?
Maybe ask him why all this is happening after an election in which no fraud was found after three recounts of votes? What about this makes the next election more secure than the last?
Personally, I’d love to punch that fucker square in his smug face.
