(N.B. In the case of the narcissist, the person’s ego is always at stake, and this drives many of his behaviors. On the other hand, sociopaths are always driven by self-interest, are often cunning, and take on whatever persona gets them ahead in the moment.)

This aside, what’s the deal with all those WH officials distancing themselves from Trump’s order to clear Lafayette Park with tear gas and riot troops and to deploy national guard and active military troops against protesters? Do folks think that any of it is sincere, or are they just afraid of the political damage that being associated with it could do to them? And are rats fleeing his sinking ship, or is this tactical and they’re more than willing to join in some future fascist abuse of power if they think that it’ll succeed?

Carson responded that “what will help the nation heal is if we will engage in dialogue together” and urged to “not make the solution be a Democrat solution or a Republican solution” before pivoting to how America is a “destination country for other people.”
Too bad Dr. Carson hasn’t been paying attention for the last 3 1/2 years. Trump has put so many restrictions on who can come, from where they can come from, that we are not a destination country.

Why CNN (or any other news outlet) would interview Uncle “Sleepy” Ben Carson is beyond me. He’s unqualified to speak about Anything with a capital “A.”

The thing about “Democrat”, when used as a modifier and not noun, as in “Democrat party” and “Democrat bill”, as opposed to “He’s a Democrat”, is that it basically tells you that the person employing this locution is either an ignorant idiot just parroting what they hear from their puppet masters, or a cheap political hack and troll who literally hasn’t got a more intelligent way of arguing with the other side. Either way, you can never take that person seriously or respect them again.

What we used to call (back in the Day) “integration” included lots of racial “first ever” pioneers like Carson.
But the real pioneers worked to make the “inclusion” comprise more and more people and expand opportunity for people hitherto denied it.

Did anyone see the comments of General Colin Powell on CNN this morning?
For me, it was almost shocking in its clarity.
He pulled few punches. He emphasized what we have lost around the world in prestige and respect and how Trump lies all the time and how he thought he alone could invite the Russian leader, Putin, back into the G7?
He also said that he would be voting for Joe Biden.
I hope there were Republicans watching and listening carefully to his words.
He is trying to pull them back from the ledge, in my opinion.
