The Bureau of Prisons is not looking at the empty jail in Hardin, Montana — which was recently at the center of the American Police Force con — as a potential site for Guantanamo inmates, contrary to an AP report today, a spokesperson for the bureau tells TPMmuckraker.“We do not have any information that a facility in Montana is being considered for a BOP facility,” spokesman Edmund Ross told us. “We’re looking at the Thomson facility in Illinois.”
