Buffoonish Ed Martin Flails to Make His Bogus Case Stick Against Letitia James

“Trump Reveals A Third Boat Was Targeted
In an almost off-handed way, President Trump extemporaneously revealed that the the United States had attacked a third alleged drug-smuggling boat off Venezuela, although he had not previously trumpeted the attack as he had the other two.”
… … … … … …
Any vessel in the Caribbean or even anywhere in the Gulf is at risk. Innocent or not.

Duncan faces an uphill battle in a crowded field of gubernatorial candidates. He will be running against former Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms and former state Sen. Jason Esteves in the Democratic primary. On the other side of the aisle, Republican Lt. Gov. Burt Jones and state Attorney General Chris Carr are fighting for the seat.

The state has not elected a Democratic governor since Roy Barnes, a trial attorney and former state senator, in 1998.

In which case, as much as I prefer Mayor Bottoms, I’d go for Duncan. Better odds? I really don’t know GA politics though tbh.

“Blowing up their boats was probably illegal. We should have just crushed their testicles, which would have been perfectly justified.”

which he has dubbed the “Special Attorney Fraud Unit.”

But in reality is the the Special Democratic-leaning Attorney Fraud Unit.

I don’t think the administration can actually establish that any of the sunken boats weren’t fishermen or friends and family out for a day’s outing.
They don’t even try to lay out evidence to support their claims.

[Ed Martin’s] “Special Attorney Fraud Unit.”

That should be his “Special National Attorney Fraud Unit,” or SNAFU, apropos of all things Trump.

So women are automatically disqualified to be “good” prosecutors?

Back in the olden days (9 months ago), if a federal hiring official posted something like that, they would be packing up their office by the end of the day.

The constant, undimmable ray of hope in all this is that these people are all complete fucking morons (I have not read the article, but mention of Martin and sight of that cretin Zinke are all I need).

The migrant worker/deportation quandary has a simple fix. Industries experiencing labor shortages due to a sudden lack of migrant workers will simply have to start writing checks to GOP/Trump/MAGA PACS. Or maybe just give the money directly to Trump, funneled into some obscure LLC with a convoluted ownership and multiple layers of plausible deniability. Trump will change any of his policies or beliefs if he’s paid to. I have no doubt money has already passed hands from some suffering company or industry group to Trump and his various coffers.

ABC reports that Martin has requested two-three experienced prosecutors from Virginia and New York to help in his investigation.

Doesn’t 2 - 3 = -1? What will he do with -1 experienced prosecutors? Does he mean one fewer experienced prosecutor than he already has?
