It was an assault and they should be charged.
And this is why people of all races are at the protests.
Nobody is having a good day in America when they run into cops.
The whole world is watching because all the video is going viral.
If you or I pushed that man down like that we are facing assault charges. If he dies, 2nd Degree Manslaughter charges. The poor guy hit the back of his head when he went down. At a minimum, a concussion. Worst case, bleeding on the brain and death.
Yay for the boys in blue. Bigly Winning.
He wasn’t just bleeding. He was hemorrhaging from his inner ear. That indicative of serious internal injury. It shouldn’t be minimized.
and the cops just walk on by. no big thing.
It will cost them.
Someone might ask Mike Lee why the Utah National Guard traveled across country to quell peaceful protests.
`
`Just heard that Mayor Bowser is kicking the Utah National Guard out of all DC hotels tomorrow. More than 1200 troops from 10 states are being evicted. This is unacceptable. 1/2

Well the man is kinda tall ( probably played basketball in high school) so you should understand why the cops feared for their lives.
This is absolutely disgusting. The officer can not control his dog. Then other officers come to help pin the prone handcuff man to the ground while the dog was the one trying to drag the handcuffed man.
This just brings me back to Eric Gardner’s arrest. The cops kept telling to stop resisting, but what I saw was 4-5 officers piled on top of Gardner pushing and pulling him.
Anyone see the Fort Lauderdale police incident where a black female officer yelled at a white cop after he pushed a black female protester while she was kneeling? He is suspended right now:
Nothing in my life has made me suddenly understand a broad, deep, and appalling reality as much as videos like this. It’s not just the bad ones. They’re all the bad ones. It’s the Milgram experiment writ large, with everyone surrendering their humanity and professionalism. And this is why we’ve seen black people murdered again and again. If you’re a law-abiding white, a “citizen” as they say, this isn’t your world, or wasn’t until these protests started. I assume there are good, professional forces out there. But this spectacle argues that it’s not most of them. That’s sobering but this evidence can’t be denied.
There is nothing benevolent about police benevolent associations.
New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo endorsed the officers’ suspensions, tweeting that what was seen on video was “wholly unjustified and utterly disgraceful.”…Mayor Bill de Blasio and Cuomo, both Democrats, said they hadn’t seen the widely shared videos, but Cuomo later tweeted that he was asking James to investigate as part of her ongoing look into police tactics during the protests.
Andy “Janus” Cuomo has feet of clay. Here’s what he said about the NYC Sturmabteilung’s vicious pounding of peaceful citizens:
“A police officer doing their job, do you think there is any sensible police officer who believes their job is bludgeoning a peaceful person with a baton?” he said. “You see, it’s that kind of incendiary rhetoric that is not a fact. It’s not even an opinion. That is a hyper-partisan rhetorical attack.”
He’s been reading Trump’s talking points.
Yeah when I first saw it last night without comment from the Brian Williams it looked like the man was trying to give the officer something. He didn’t look like he was threatening or yelling, but a normal “Hey I found this thing” type of interaction.
I guess we can all cross off the police from Mr. Rodgers’ statement to “find the helpers”.
At the core of police brutality is the so called blue wall of silence that puts cops themselves above the citizenry they are charged to serve and protect. That this incident was initially reported “officially “ as the poor man having tripped is all we need to know. Individual cops can be heroes; cops as a society, as an organization, in their union activities, are antithetical to justice and democracy.
Until we find a way to fix that, nothing will change.
Today Congress Hakeem Jeffries notes that the NYPD Union adamantly opposes Legislation he has introduced in the House banning “choke holds” despite Jeffries having lifted the language for his bill from the NYPD manual. A few bad apples, my ass. It is the system that protects those bad apples that poisons the entire bushel.
Maybe we do want to send the federal troops, to arrest all the out of control cops…

From the beginning I viewed Mr. Trump as a corrosive force. However, recently, the corrosion is spreading faster than I expected.
God help her going forward.
