Most people who make a statement like that mean that they will straighten up and try to be a productive citizen. For this doofus it meant immediately committing a felony by acquiring guns.

Sure, he was a felon with multiple weapons charges who pointed a gun at a law enforcement officer, but he was protecting us from those lawless furriners.

Alas, not this time. Suicide is a horrible ending. Happy ending would have been him getting rehabilitated and his head straightened out.
One of the most repeated tropes of 2A types is “We don’t need more gun laws, we need to enforce the ones we have.” And yet here’s a guy which his followers seem to want to gloss over, or down right dismiss, the felon had guns. This felon before his last incarceration was in a group that pointed a gun at a member of law enforcement. But hey if you’re white and male with a stupid soul patch(?) you can break parole because you’re the persecuted one.
Which is frequently followed by “…and here’s why the ones we have are all unconstitutional…”
