“My dad said the moment he got out [of prison] that he’d never go back,” Massey said. “No matter what.”
Most people who make a statement like that mean that they will straighten up and try to be a productive citizen. For this doofus it meant immediately committing a felony by acquiring guns.
Kory Massey on his father choosing suicide over a shootout: “He told me he didn’t want to get in a shootout because he didn’t want to hurt someone that was just trying to do their job and he didn’t want to take some kid’s parent.”
I guess the irony was probably lost on Kory.
But on a positive note, this sounds like a guy who deserves a posthumous presidential pardon.
Sure, he was a felon with multiple weapons charges who pointed a gun at a law enforcement officer, but he was protecting us from those lawless furriners.
One of the most repeated tropes of 2A types is “We don’t need more gun laws, we need to enforce the ones we have.” And yet here’s a guy which his followers seem to want to gloss over, or down right dismiss, the felon had guns. This felon before his last incarceration was in a group that pointed a gun at a member of law enforcement. But hey if you’re white and male with a stupid soul patch(?) you can break parole because you’re the persecuted one.
