Bolton Says Trump’s Full Of It With ‘Standing Order’ Declassification Claim

How adorable. They even match.

If there is no such document in any files ANYWHERE it doesn’t MATTER if he said the Magic Words (its declassified!) if NOBODY heard them.

What concerns me are govt TS compartmental documents at other Rump residences such as Doral, Bedminster, NYC Tower, global safe deposit boxes, and Rump Mob Family residences. Shouldn’t the FBI raid these places also for Nat Security reasons?

Good point on producing the alleged “standing order” but you know they will say it was a verbal order (which of course is invalid).

I want my kindergarten teacher to deal with him. He would get 60 days in the hole (ok, an hour in the corner) for every outburst.

Chip off the old warped block…they are living in an alternate reality…a dangerous one.

Seriously, the burden should be on trump now to FACTUALLY show that what he did was not illegal. Anyone with even mediocre office experience knows that you don’t wave your hand over a stack of (memos, protocols, laws, etc) documents and declare them changed.

At a minimum each one of these things, along with its purpose and subject matter, would have to be identified. And this is a far more regulated business here. Oh, and even if he had declassified them (he didn’t), he wasn’t allowed to take them away ANYWHERE.

But the richest hoot of all is the statement that he took them out to prepare for work in the WH the next day. HAHA! A real knee-slapper! We all know he watched FOX most of the time and the rest of the time, was flushing the toilet like someone playing the slots at one of his failed casinos!

From a parody account, apparently. Here’s an image of the full tweet, and note the timestamp.

Great info. Thanks. One suggested edit:

Careful…they are laying out hints that they would love Liz Cheney to be President in the near future. Wait for it!

It was an acting standing order. That’s how everything in the shanda years was.

… some sort of “standing order” that White House documents be deemed declassified when taken to Trump residences

Uh, no. My understanding is that de-classification isn’t like waving a magic wand. There’s gotta be paperwork for anything you de-classify, not to mention a review process with the involved agencies. I mean, c’mon, this is government – OF COURSE there has to be paperwork.

No, I believe there was a lock, but the FBI requested that they use a more secure one.

As I understand it, that’s not what happened. The FBI and other officials who visited in June didn’t ask for a padlock. The FBI basically said “This isn’t a secure location and it can’t ever be secured for the national defense documents you’re holding, so you should abide by this here subpoena and return the documents.”

And Trump, because he is who he is, fell into that trap and put a padlock on the door, ignoring the subpoena.

Now he’s guilty of Willful Retention of National Defense Information, which is a serious crime that others have gone to jail for.

I just have 1 complaint about your statement. The last line. It should say:

Especially, when a president does it. That is especially true when the president is a lifetime criminal.
