Well, just don’t expect Trump to react the same way Bloomberg did (not).
I hope it’s not the same data operation he used in his debate prep.
Yes, that was stupid or dishonest.
He’s not stupid so I guess I’d have to say dishonest.
Heh
That “Russian troll” factor was crucial in November 2016 but cannot be applied in any other election.
Don’t count him out.
Sanders can’t beat Trump and Warren peaked too soon. Amy can’t do it.
It’s not a good place but it’s all about beating Trump.
Why can’t Sanders beat Trump?
That could be a really big deal…black voters have a problem with Bloomberg because of stop and frisk and other policies he’s pursued and things he has said. They are also looking for someone to be their champion after the way Biden has faltered. I don’t think they really default to Sanders, he’s too liberal, has his own racism issues (which are more structural than active, but kept them from voting for him in 2016), and it’s not at all clear he can take Trump on. If Warren really made inroads with the black community with her takedown of Sanders, and it’s gone viral the way that article describes, that could cause a huge shakeup in the race. After all, they were just fine with a woman candidate in 2016, and watching Warren take Bloomberg apart could sell them on the idea of her taking on Trump.
We really won’t know if that is happening until SC votes, polling may give an indication but it may come too late to see a big move like that. A lot of people saw the debate though, and people will be talking about it, and the biggest coverage does seem to be about Warren’s takedown of Bloomberg (and everyone else)…all of this really could snowball for her in somewhere like CA. Her fundraising has exploded though, odds are she’s going the distance now, and those dollars will have votes behind them.
It’s an axiom.
Deal.
No. I don’t know that person. So I can’t ask people why they Bernie can’t win?
In a contest of two old men yelling, Trump will win, because Trump will say anything it takes to win, and Bernie just won’t go that far. Warren didn’t go after Bernie last night except for a couple minor points, if she had she’d have shredded him as well and she still poked him good, and Bernie had trouble dealing with Bloomberg’s barbs thrown at him. Add in all the opposition research, and Bernie is likely sunk before he gets to the debate stage, where Trump can use his asshole performance to dominate him.
Just a small joke.
Very small.
OK, if I may… Bernie is beginning to lead in national polls (yeah, I know, don’t count on polls), he has a solid base of support, he can bring people back who went from him to Trump, and if all the blue-no-matter-who people mean that, I think he has the numbers if he makes it to the General.
Sorry, I’m not familiar with your humor yet. Humble apologies.
That polling lead doesn’t take into account anything I said…at the moment, the “anyone but Trump” faction is voting for any of them (they all lead Trump nationally), but the ones in the middle (who aren’t blue no matter who people) are quite likely to be turned off when Trump starts in on Bernie. Whether he can survive that is an unknown, but it will hurt him, possibly severely…add in all the socialism stuff that will be factually accurate about him and he’s vulnerable.
I did fail to mention that I’m counting on new voters and the return of alienated voters to make up the gap left by the people I left out of my previous tally. The Sanders campaign is making a point of targeting those folks. Also, if someone can apply enough pressure to get your employer to raise your wages, who cares if he’s a Democratic Socialist?
As to not addressing the two old men yelling thing…I’d watch some of Bernie’s floor speeches. A good one is when a Republican insulted gay service members. That’s some fire, right there.
“But this doesn’t translate to votes!”
Right, she raised just enough money to keep a few offices open.
I saw that, too, and chuckled.
I just meant last night. And I was sorta joking. Castro did indeed do that. Booker ‘s Spanish was solid, too.
Debates are fun. Town halls are ok. I’d like to see some extended interviews with good interviewers. I’d be interested to know if Pete can do an entire interview in Spanish. If so it would be to his credit.
"The campaign chief seemed already resigned to the possibility that Bloomberg’s campaign won’t survive Super Tuesday on March 3, saying that he’s “not sure” the billionaire will manage to sink frontrunner Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT).
“It may be there’s not much campaign in March after that date, but we’re certainly fighting hard as we can to make sure that there is,” Sheekey said."
Wow. Sheekey’s press skills are almost as bad as Bloomberg’s debating skills!
