Nothing I’ve seen so far has made me think that Aileen Cannon is competent to handle this trial. Even if she isn’t in the tank for tfg – which I still wonder about – she seems in over her head.

It’s not you as a commoner. This is basic legal ethics 101.
True story: I went to law school in VA. I went to some alum appreciation thing, mainly for free alcohol. It I was making nice and having conversation. I brought up something that had come up in my legal ethics class (I think it was called Professional Responsibility). It was in front of a couple from DC.
The woman was drunk. “Why do you have to take a class on ethics? Do you know how many security clearances to lawyers I have denied?!”
Her husband had to explain to her that we all took that class.
