Love that Trump is hosting the Giuliani fundraising dinner but NOT sticking around for the actual dinner. He’ll be there for the first 1 hour - 1.5 tops.
It’s at his golf club so 1) he doesn’t have to walk far to show up for the round table discussion 2) he’s making money off the deal.

On the face of it, yes he appears to be working against his client instead of FOR him.
But I wonder if he also helped encourage Taveras into any false statements or furthered the deceptions. Hard to believe he didn’t KNOW the facts on the ground and instead perpetuated the web of deceit.

I guess we are going to be stuck with this place being the crime blotter instead of a political site for the next year and a half.
The compromised lawyer, Woodward, is in a world of hurt. No lawyer can serve two masters. If they try they often lose their right to practice. Sometimes they go to jail.
I heard from the really upstanding folks on MSNBC that this guy had a reputation for being an ethical lawyer. Obviously they were wrong. I guess if the money is right even a lawyer thought to be ethical will fail.

Lots of interesting news today, first article I read was Joyce Vance’s take on Jeffrey B. Clark and she thinks he is a “KAREN!” This is what she had to say about him:
Clark’s “emergency motion” makes him the Karen of criminal defendants. He has hired a lawyer whose bio suggests that he has handled many complicated civil matters involving business litigation, breach of contract, fraud, will contests, conservatorship, guardianship, and trusts and estate work, but no criminal law. Clark might have done well to heed the advice that Trump White House Counsel’s Office lawyer Eric Herschmann gave Clark’s co-defendant John Eastman: “Get a great effing criminal defense lawyer.”
