Even with the Kansas result in yesterday’s primary, the Republican Party leadership just can’t quit. Or is this simply Johnson falling on his sword (oh I pray it was real) as a way to deflect their easily distracted base with more red meat nonsense?

Johnson said Medicare and Social Security benefits should instead be approved by Congress on an annual basis as discretionary spending.

That is what Sen. Rick Scott put in the GOP Senate platform. Which prompted Sen. Mitch McConnell to respond with “Is you putting our criminal fucking conspiracy on paper?”

We “greys” turn out consistently and in big numbers and always have, and retirees of the boomer generation will do the same, and IMO, more women than ever before will turn out with every election. Ignorant uncaring men won’t control our future and our lives if we have our way.

I have said before that lying among republicans of the MAGA cult is a feature and no kind of bug. And because we are talking politics…lying is sure as hell not rare among folk outside the MAGA cult. It’s a matter of degree. Lying is in the DNA of all politicians who look to get reelected… If one decides to speak the truth … and Rusty Bowers (Speaker of the AZ House) was required to because he was under oath…it will get expensive. Bowers had no choice but to answer questions truthfully to the J6 committee because of his oath. He spoke truthfully and now has lost his job.

Abortion is a long-standing right, women have had for 50 years now. Anti-abortionists have already forced a 10-year-old girl to be driven out of state for her rape-abortion.
