President Joe Biden is expected to announce on Wednesday his plan to order an additional 100 million doses of Johnson & Johnson’s single-shot COVID-19 vaccine.

Every news item about Biden just reminds me how happy I am that there is an adult back at the helm in the White House. Joe has the experience, the temperament and the desire to serve the American people that are essential to solve problems right now. And he has a competent team on board for this. Every day, another sigh of relief that things are getting better.
i just keep thinking how lucky we are that trump didn’t win. like, on so many fronts, but can you imagine how chaotic and corrupt this vaccine roll out would have been? i don’t know that we can truly understand how big of a bullet we dodged here. there’s a lot of work to do to remain dodged, but i feel like biden showing competence and making lots of peoples’ lives better could go a long way toward that.
And no pivot required.
it’ll be infrastructure week for real though, and things will keep getting better.
All good. Every time news comes out the date for inoculating everyone drops by a month or two. Giving people what they want and need could make for a powerful new normal.
A neighbor got the J&J on Saturday.
Amazing work on that, to condense the battery pack and chip into the one shot instead of having to send them in separate shots.
Shouldn’t this be Moderna and Pfizer vaccines require two doses - not Merck and Pfizer. Merck had reached a deal with J & J to help them produce more vaccine
So now we have more than enough doses? Kids? Foreign aid? Imagine setting up consulates so that everyone coming to the US for business or tourism can get a shot if they haven’t in their home country.
I suspect this is prep for J&J to become a two-dose as well. Trials for that are ongoing.
More good news. This news is enough to make one think that Biden is a master deal-maker.
It looks like the Biden administration will hit and exceed their 100 day goal.

I received my first Moderna dose on Monday. The side effect was a tender shoulder for about a day. I am sure the voices in my head from George Soros and Bill Gates telling me how much Trump sucked were a pre-existing condition.
At the end there, you meant to say Moderna vaccine is a two-shot regimen. Merck doesn’t have a vaccine… they’re just helping manufacture the J&J. Vacc.
Since the eligible age dropped to 60 years old I was able to book an appointment for Moderna at my neighborhood city health clinic for Monday morning at 5AM. When I booked my appointment I saw many of the slots were filled but when you scroll through them you have a better chance at the off peak hours.
It could also be prep for J&J to receive single-dose approval for children under the age of 16. They’re the one group still not covered by any of the current vaccines.
