Biden On Trump Taking Unproven Drug | Talking Points Memo

Former Vice President Joe Biden is in disbelief after President Trump claimed that he’s taking hydroxychloroquine, an anti-malaria drug, to prevent COVID-19 infection.

Experimenting on himself while trying to end the American Experiment. And btw, his uncle was a scientist at MIT.

Despite his reputation for gaffes, Biden actually has an underappreciated way with words which cuts through nonsense in a way voters can understand and which is quite unlike the style of stiffer politicians. He can easily be entertaining at the expense of his adversary, as Paul Ryan must privately recognize. It’s a skill I trust he will use effectively against the onslaught he’ll face.

I just read over at rawstory that his followers are making their own hydroxychlorquinine and taking it.

I hope they keep that right up; at this rate his entire voter base will have killed itself off by November.

Well, that’s just irresponsible. It takes precious time away from making their own bleach. Focus, sheeple!

I believe his uncle obtained his degrees from the South Hamilton Institute of Technology.

There goes the herd immunity. Oh well.

I get the acronym, but his uncle was a respected scientist.

The brains in the family must have taken a left turn somewhere, because it sure hasn’t skipped a generation.

I felt like my rather sophomoric joke was going to fall flat just for the reason you provided.

It is rather remarkable how familial dysfunction and mental illness/disorder can result in poor intellectual and emotional outcomes. Maybe there is some intellect somewhere in there, but it’s been poorly exercised at best. He always tries the cheap, easy approaches to problem solving (e.g. blame others, deflect, etcetera), but he never really comes up with a solution other than leaving damage in his wake.

Many, many people are saying it. Some with tears in their eyes.

Not that there is anything wrong with that. In fact, there’s everything right with it. Snicker…

I think the headline overstates the case by a bit… It wasn’t so much that the drug’s status was ‘unproven’ as it was debunked. That stuff is dangerous. My thought when he claimed that first responders were also taking it was… Well, I hope someone has the good sense to put them on a suicide watch then.

Some things … you can’t say, “I take that back.”

And THIS particular person isn’t inclined to do THAT.

Thanks @schmed. I read the article and it had me in stitches.
